klonopin vs xanax

hey GC im prescribed klonopins and they help me sleep but ive never really used them recreationally. should i try to switch my script to xanax or stick with the klonopins and try to get a higher dose (im only dosed .5mg twice/day). what do you guys find works better medically vs whats better recreationally?

It's really more about what you want from the drugs.

Some find kpins too "heavy" for recreation, and enjoy xan's more.
Some need the kpins for severe constant anxiety.

For recreation, kpins are stronger and will make you much more klonked but some don't find it as pleasant.

In the end all I can say is to experiment and find out what you like best for what because everyone is different.

Though Clonazepam is about twice the potency of alprazolam mg per mg, alprazolam is much shorter acting (peaks in 1.5 hrs and is gone in 4) than clonazepam (which peaks in 4-5 hours and lasts 8-10) and because of this can be quite potent and heavy in the short-term. I find clonazepam to feel cleaner than xanax overall, and thus prefer it over xanax most of the time, depending on how long I want to be fucked up for.

I've taken hundreds upon hundreds of both, and in general I prefer xanax over klonopin. Xanax just seems to be a little more euphoric, but if I had a job and had to go to work everyday i'd definately prefer kpins over xanax, they last longer and don't get you FUCKED up, but you definately feel good and can still function.

i need the kpins for anxiety, but it seems like a tolerance has built up. they sure help me relax tho.

Im on 6 mg of kpins right now so i vote for them lol. But personally, I like xanax more. I havent done it in a while tho so maybe my opinion has changed since then.

Same, I've never taken enough Xanax for it to be really recreational though. No one ever has bars around me.

havent really had enough klonopins to make a good decision.... more of an opiate guy i guess.... i do love me some benzo's and opiates though, valiums and some morphine had me fucked up the other day. doing the same tonight hah.

yea i love my opiates better too... im trying to save my tolerance a bit by backing off on blowing 90mg oxy a day, and its really killing me. need to smoke a bowl, this headache is killing me. i thought some kpins would help, but i still have this headache. i wasnt getting high off the oc i would normally do anymore

Duration. Klonopin has a greater duration thus being better for GAD while xanax is short and better for panic attacks.

Im prescribed kpins for GAD also. The script for me is 1 mg three times daily. Sometimes I save them up for whenever I wanna use them recreationally, and I would say that I like kpins better than bars. I mean bars definitely fuck you up, but they fuck you up for such a shorter time than kpins. I've been wondering about whether you can blow kpins to shorten the duration and add to the intensity, but I keep hearing things about it not working. Anyone know if it does in fact potentiate the effect? Another thing that I like to do is let them dissolve under my tongue. The taste isnt nearly as gross as most medicines and it actually has a kind of nice mentholy taste to it. idk but maybe its just cuz i like the feeling kpins give so I associate that taste with goodness

Most benzos can not be snorted. They aren't water soluble, so the only part of the drug that hits you is what runs down the back of your throat into your stomache.
