I have a bottle of concerta (methylphenidate) but I dont want to take it. When I take it therapeutically I cant stand the feeling. Is the high even good?

methylphenidate, almost identical to cocaine, without as much euphoria because it doesn't bind to the dopamine sites the same.

Yea I hear its the same as cocaine, but coke isn't really appealing to me other than the euphoria...

Uhhh... Do these side-effects seem appealing to you? Personally they sound horrible. I hate stimulants though, which is probably why.

Increases alertness, wakefulness, increases athletic performance, decreases fatigue, clearer thinking, increases concentration, increases energy, increased irritability, insomnia, restlessness. With high doses may exhibit a pattern of psychosis with confused and disorganized behavior, irritability, fear, paranoia, may become extremely antisocial and aggressive.

bumpin an old thread, lookin for some advice. i tried 10mgs of generic aderall xr, and it put me to sleep in like 3hrs. slept for about 6-7hrs, and woke up wide awake(about 12am...the time i had been getting up for work for the last week) but i didnt really the energy you talk about, unless you count the energy after i woke up which wasnt more than normal after a nights sleep. today i tried 25mgs at about 9am, still avg energy, maybe a bit more than usual (im usually very calm/not a lot of energy), no improvement in concentration and at 5:30, i think its wearing off....im drowsy, kinda hot and shaking/trembling a bit. should i try more, or just stay away?

i think you shouldn't try anymore for today. like you, i have a naturally high tolerance to various stimulants and i need high doses to get anything good from it. also XR decreases the strength but increases the amount of time the drug is in effect so i would open that capsule and crush those XR beads and snort/rail them if i were you. for your next dose i suggest 30-45 milligrams nasally/orally (i would suggest nasally because it kicks in faster and harder)

Do you agree with to virtuoso that you need to forget about it for it to work? If so, to what extent? Should i take it say, when i am in the middle of doing something and am already preoccupied with something? Or if i take it in the morning, and go about my day like normal, itll just kick in at some point when it slips my mind? Just kinda wondering, as i do have a tendency to analyze exactly whats goin on when im high/drunk.

Also, how was the crash? I know everyones different, but does your high tolerance help out after it wears off? Not that its a good comparison, but relative to my friends ive always recovered the best after a night of drinking. Last out, first up in the morning and feel perfectly fine.

i was wondering if you know how someone gets prescribed adderall?

i only know of people getting it for ADD/HD?.. but how would a docter even test for that to know to give it to you?

Great guide! I love adderall. I know that I have ADD because I cannot concentrate for the life of me in school. No matter how hard I try sober I just doze off into day dream land without even noticing it and it drives me insane. I've been telling my parents I have ADD since I was in 6th grade but they never believed me. My grades have always showed it. But recently this year (junior year in high school) I decided to try it for my first time to see if it would actually help me or if it was all talk. It works amazing. I listen in class, get all my work done in class, and just become an overall happier person in a better state of mind when I'm on it. However I always find myself biting onto my tongue nonstop which isn't really a big deal, but it gets annoying after awhile. It's also great after school when I go to work. It actually gives me a drive to do good at work and somewhat enjoy my job.

is it okay to take an alza 54 pill (the fat red one), and cut it in half, and take them at seperate times?

i know this may sound like a stupid question but i was wondering if it was coated for a reason or something

Take 2 alza 54's. Get plyers and crush them, try to rip it apart a little, then swallow. The red hard part is the time release, just try tpo crush it good, it wont powder it will just be a jaged white and red chunk. Then swallow it , or chew it (proboally better)
It dosent taste THAT bad, but chewing is good.

ok everyone first time doing adderall to study for my finals. im going to take 30mg do you think thats ok? my friend is bitching at me how it fucks people up i think its going to be ok.

is there any reason i shouldnt do it or any bad things that could happen please let me know.
