DXM dosage question. Educated answers please.

Well, I don't really want to go out drinking tonight, nor do I want to dig into my stash of xanax or any of my other goodies.

I was planning on taking a trip to Meijer later and I planned on picking up some DXM.

I am 5'10", 130lbs. Never tried the stuff before, other than for an actual cold, where I took the recommended dosage.

This will be my first time tripping and I had a few questions. Yes, I have searched the forums, but I still wanted to clarify a few things..

I am looking for DXM HBr, right?

How many mg's of DXM would you recommend I take? Considering my body size and the fact that it's my first time.

Should I look for the syrup, or the gelcaps? Pros and cons?

I've heard about Zicam Cough Mix, is this the same thing; would it be better?

Ive dabbled in the world of DXM
1. Yes your looking for DXM HBr
2. I recommend 300mg for your first time.
3. I am actually allergic to something in robotussin cough syrup. i recommend you find some pill with just the DXM or DXM and Guaifenesin. take those with a bottle of water. I usually drink about 3 bottles of water with my pills and i never get a stomach ache.
Idk what Zicam cough mix is sorry.

I took 300 mg my first time, I weight 155, and I felt like it could've been stronger... 300 mg would probably be a good starting dose for you. Unless you're not smoking. I got really high along with the DXM so you might be left wanting more if you don't smoke.

Get the gelcaps, they only have the DXM in them without any guafinesin. If you can't find those and have to get a syrup, then look at the Active ingrediants to be sure that there's only DXM and nothing else (except guafinesin if you take favor to puking and constant diarrhea) The whole gelcap bottle will be 300mg, so take them all, don't worry they're small. Remember everyone reacts differently to drugs; know your bodies dosage.

starting off with a 4oz bottle of robo (DXM only, [well it could have Guafinsin, but you'll throw up, but you usually do when your new])

I highly recommend Zicam Cough Max, its a little bit more expensive, but its easier on your body, most easiest to take(tho the nastiest, I strongly recommend warheads after taking the shot) and most intense Smilie

smoke some ganja to enchance (recommended) no xanax, it will KILL the trip,

I forgot about Zicam, well it depends on your preferance, me I don't do good with liquids and thats why I like the Cough Gels, if you can do liquids then go with Zicam.

perfect answer ^. make sure you eat something before. do not take on an empty stomach. i took 25 cough gells on an empty stomach and puked the whole night(and yes the only active ingredient was DXM). 20 about an hour after eating was perfect for me and my buddy's. tripped the rest of the night and hit the blue dot. music is a must

Yeah eating helps with anything foreal. I would always take 2 bottles, and be RIGHT all night. I was into DXM really baddddddd at once, but thats all behind me.

My first time with DXM I took 495mg. It was pretty fucking crazy. I felt drunk and could barely walk.

Remember, DXM has plateaus. The first two, 150mg-400mg or so, are way different than the upper two. Once you get past a certain point, a lot of the euphoria just goes away. Hence why I recommend smoking a bit an hour or so after taking the DXM.

Take the gelcaps, but remember it is important to start with a low dose for your first time, because not everybody who does DXM finds it comfortable, and it can get pretty weird in the higher plateaus. I know a kid who doesn't like to go above first plateau. You wanna start out slow, because if you do too much and you decide you don't like it, you're in for a long night.

Well, thanks for the help guys. I parieed last night with the town and tonight I drank a full bottle of the stuff. 354mg I calculated. I feeel a bit drunk, perhaps a closed-eye visual or two. Intense moment of realization when I noticed I was hight though, insanse stuff.. Wide eyes, colors are bright.

I had my eyes closed when I was typing.
