Focalin

I never thought I'd be making one of these threads...but, alas. I need some insight from my dear Pandorans. I'm pathetically unknowing when it comes to pharm stims.

I got a buddy who is coming back in town from going back home for the weekend. He's going to be bringing back his scripts for Adderall and Focalin. I'm familiar with Adderall, but I'm kind of up in the air with Focalin. I know it's Dexmethylphenidate, containing the more effective isomer of Methylphenidate, but I don't know much about what effects I should be prepared for. I plan on using it to aid in knocking out a couple papers, and maybe a try at a recreational dose.

So what I'd like to know:

What should I expect from Focalin? Desirable effects, negatives, come downs, etc.

What should I expect from smoking while taking Focalin?

Suggested clinical/rec dose? I'm still up in the air to use it recreationally, but I shall see.

I appreciate any and all help brothas and sistas

Focalin pretty much replaced ritalin (i think they may be similair chemically also) in the drug market and the effects are like ritalin. Some people, when they snort ritalin say the effects are like that of coke. Those two drugs are very similiar(Adderall & Focalin) . You say you are farmiliar with adderall, that's good. Should be similair stiumlant highs.

The only problem you will have with adderall is the come down (Not fun at all). Dry mouth and clenched jaw are the only things you have to look out for. Counter this with water and gum/ talking to people.

Have fun on them too!

I hated focalin when i tried it. My friend and i chewed up a bunch of his pills (dont remember the exact dose, sorry) and it was probably my worst drug experience ever. Maybe pills are just not my thing or something, but i just hated it. I got no actual high but instead was totally unable to fall asleep for 52 hrs straight. I'm not exaggerating, it was just plain awful. I felt physically tired but couldnt fall asleep. It was my first and last experience with pharms, so maybe i just didnt know what to expect and found myself not enjoying it.

Im with you dude, there is nothing worse IMO then not being able to get to sleep, and feeling all jittery when there is nothing to do.....I took adderall(sp) a couple times, and it was pretty much what you described, not fun at all. The only pills i will even touch are benzos, i hate opiates just as much, they make me sick as hell.

Focalin is a neural stiulant. max dosages are 30 i believe. I have 10 mg and i have mild ADD. really just use it for class work. If you take focalin in mass amounts you will feel jacked and it will last quite a while. I would not suggest more than 60 mg of any stimulant like that. Ritalin is 50/50 dexamenfihvoghe whatever the stuff that is in focalin and 50% another strain of the same salt amphetamine. I dont know the chemical analysis but I know that ritalin is like taking half as much focalin for the active ingredient in focalin. I have heard that the other ingredient in ritalin affects blood flow and other physical traits which would be effective at increasing the focus level of the user. Basically it is pointless to abuse focalin and ritalin. But i would recommend the ADD drugs over cocaine simply because of the dependency factor and cost.

It's d-MPH while ritalin/concerta is d,l-MPH. It's better than racemic, if memory serves it's a 1:2 d-MPH:d,l-MPH. MPH is very fun and I like it a lot more than amphetamines. I never crash off of MPH and my heart doesn't seem like it's beating as fast as it does on amphs.
