Best way to do it is to get someone that knows their shrooms to go with you and then they can give you the information needed to identify em. Books and pictures aren't as useful as first hand experience. One advice though, always be careful.

now i have one question do liberty caps have a any look alikesbecause they seem to be the ones that grow around here and do you have to wait till the firt frost to go shroom hunting ?

Liberty caps have plently look alikes. They're a LBM (Little Brown Mushroom). Where is "around here" by the way (If you give me the country, I can tell you your actual chances of finding P. semilanceata)

well i live in newfoundland canada and i dont need to know the chances of finding them cause i know there here i,ve used them before. in order to go shroom hunting dont you you need to wait till the first frost ??

Newfoundland? P.Semis are all you have there, I'd wait until the first frost. The morning cold shock triggers fruiting in the mycelial structure.

You said you have done some reading but asking what a spore print is? Seriously your going to fucking kill yourself I dont think you realize how DEADLY mushrooms are. DONT PICK OR EAT SHROOMS IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING! If your 2 friends eat the shrooms and die while you survive you can be charge with killing them, anyone can be charged if someone dies due to shrooms.

I've eaten Shrooms from a cow pasture before. I picked em off some cow shit right after it rained. They turned blue, so I washed them off and ate them. Had a decent trip.

But that's stupid advice. I didn't know what the fuck I was doing and could have easily killed myself. Listen to what Stoned Budda and the rest are saying before consuming any wild fungi.

ok thanks but what are my chances of finding them in a sheep fiel, i've always heard of people going to cow pastures to get shorooms soo what a about a sheep field ??

yeah my dads dad.....died from eating a poisenous mushroom......they used to pick em wild and i guess one day he choose the wrong one....i still wish i could have met the man....
