Tussionex: a god among hydrocodone

It's so much better than chewing/popping pills. It's a cough syrup and it's so much better. Every mL contains 10mg of hydro and 8mg of chlorpheniramine.

I love it for the following reasons. In comparison to pills:

1) No APAP to worry about

2) Sweet, palatable taste

3) Liquid, so it's absorbed muuuch faster

4) Time-released, so it's duration is around 12 hours




I took 5mL 5 or 6 hours ago, and I'm still peaking. (50mg of hydrocodone, 40mg of chlorpheniramine) I felt full-swing effects after only about 30 minutes of ingestion. My vision is crazy, time perception is off, and I have the most incredible body high. Euphoria like never before, too. Best opiate high of my life, no doubt. In fact, it doesn't even feel like an opiate high; it's much more intense. My thought process is even fucked up a bit, which I've never experienced on other hydrocodone doses. Jesus, I just walked my dogs a couple of miles and it was no doubt the best walk I've been on in ages.

Liquid hydrocodone is indeed fun. I got a couple big ass bottles when I got my tonsils out. I miss it.

(I researched chlorpheniramine a bit, but couldn't find much on it, even after about 20-30 minutes working Google over ...but maybe I'm just not that good of an internet searcher? ;P Heh... Anyone know about it? Is 40mg "a lot"?)

Even now, 10 or 11 hours later... I'm still fucked up nicely. Bitch, I'm not walking - I'm floating. I'm not peaking by any means, but I can still feel a strong ass high.

Everyone, go get a Tussionex prescription, now. You won't regret it. =D



EDIT: After digging around a bit more, I did find a few sites that mention antihistamines can potentiate opiates quite a bit, which I already knew from a few good links Deezy put up in another Hydrocodone thread. But, I read specifically about chlorpheniramine being a strong opiate-enhancer. I guess that answers the question as to why I get so ridiculously fucked up on Tussionex vs. other, pill-forms of hydrocodone. (I'm still not sure where 40mg falls in terms of good/bad/strong/weak chlorpheniramine dosage though.)

Wow I just realized that I have a bottle of this (mine says VI-Q Tuss). I took some a few days ago for a cough, but it had me feeling gooooooood. I had no idea why at the time.

I didn't know they put hydrocodone in cough syrup.

hey, just a few quick questions

1. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt it 10mgs of hydrocodone polistyrex (extended release coating) and 8 mgs of chlorpheniramine polistyrex per 5ml instead of 1ml?


because thats what I had always thougt, and had been dosing recently around uh 10-12ml and still not feeling anything but possibly a light buzz

the feelings you described from taking 5ml are defffinetly where I want to try and get to, so just check your info and leave a reply please (:

however, I would definetly say from other reseach, 50mgs of hydro is a bigg dose, unless you have a tolerance, and 40mg of chlorpheniramine is badd :/ which is the reason why I have been cautious about crossing the 15 ml mark with my dosing

I've always kinda preferred pills to syrup, the sugars and such upset my stomach at higher doses.

That being said if I had syrup I would definitely pour up hehe.

im pretty sure its 10 mg per 5 ml ...............but maybe im wrong. I think it is though cause I've had tuss about 10 different times for bitchy chest infections that don't ever go away.

Damn, I got liquid hydrocodone, but I don't think its TUssionex cause mine says it has APAP and it doesnt say the hydro/APAP ratio.
