Tasers are only part of the issue, what's really interesting is that lethal force seems to be the first course of action for the cops (RCMP is this case). They arrive on the scene at 4:55, he is shot at 5:31 (an entire 36 seconds!). Shortly after this, while the victim is screaming in pain, he is pinned(or mauled..) by 4 officers, by the 7:00 minute mark he is dead. 12 (!) minutes later, cpr is attempted, despite the fact that the murderers are trained in cpr.

What are the consequences of the shoot first ask questions later mentality? 1 man is dead, 4 police officers are still on duty. Sleep tight blades.

fuckin candians i dont get is what caused all this in the first place he just started throwing shit in the air port? 2nd did they tazer him or acutally shoot him with a gun and 3rd i have seen some crazy ass people get arrested and it didnt take 5 large officers sitting on them the grab 2 hands and 2 ankles and cuff them wtf

Fucking snuff film, that's all that is. The war on Terror is producing some pretty severe acts on the parts of so called law enforcement. In Phoenix Arizona, the cops killed a woman, and they're trying to pass it off as a 'suicide'. It's a war on civility, good judgement and civil rights. Anybody feeling safer? It would appear that bad behavior is now reason to kill you.

So the guy just couldn't speak English and therefore couldn't read the signs?

I don't even know what to say. It was like the cops didn't even care what he had to say, they tasered him in under a minute.

anyone happen to know more about this then the video why the hell was the guy flipping out and throwing computers and shit through the window to begin w.? i would of tazered his ass to you cant do that especialy not at an airport if he were black or a musim they would of shot him with a real gun, not saying thats how it should be more thats just how it is

He was a polish immigrant, arriving for the first time in Canada. His mother was in the airport waiting or him, they were not in the same place for some reason, customs are language problems, not sure.

The man was unarmed, and not some ninja. They clearly could have subdued with non lethal force, he was outnumbered and exasperated. Why did the police use such an overkill tactic, it looked as if the man were no more threatening than a drunk in a bar? The man was getting OFF the plane not on, so how was he a threat to anyone?

Chill out littlestblue he obviously was joking. The reason why he was flipping out is because he was in that terminal for 10 hours trying to find his mother, she was through a door on the other side or something like that. He doesn't speak english and nobody would help him, I don't blame him for flipping out. That many cops shouldn't have to taser somebody to calm them down.
