DXM: in trouble with parents

So the story goes, that yesterday me and a friend decided to trip on DXM. We went to a local grocery store and purchased it and each took 400 mg, roughly a bottle and 6 pills each. Everything went fine and we felt pretty high. later into the night it hit us much harder. We were in public the entire time, something which i know now was a big mistake. I had no experience with DXM and definitely underestimated it. Later in the night we met up with a girl and she asked for some so we gave her some. She tripped with us on it but later on she got really tripped out. later her parents had to pick her up and they knew something was wrong. She got sent to the hospital and stayed the night and a few hours into the day. She gave her parents my name and my friends, even though we had pulled in front of our parents. Now her parents want to meet with my friend and I, rather than going to our parents. Im wondering if any of you have been in situations like this and could help out, i'm really nervous about the whole thing and regret not being more responsible about it. Any input would be appreciated, Thanks.

nope never been in anything like that. Now you know DXM is much more powerful than people make it to be. I know you did not take alot but what if it was really strong shit(and you didnt kno) you guys could have been fucked royally. ALWAYS research shit before just diving into it.

now that i got that out of the way, i would just go meet with them i think, i HATE it when my own parents get involved in shit and i try to leave what happens to me out unless it is something very important of course and they need to know about it. although just meeting with them will be bad, it seems like a lesser of the two

My friend and i did a bit of research, via erowid before hand. We took robotussin cough gels, and were as careful as possible. The report from the toxologist according to my friend, was that her body had trouble breaking down the DXM or something to that effect. I'm pretty glad that its not going to my parents but im still a bit freaked out. Again, thank you for the input

I would do that, but my other friend informed me that if i dont show up they are going to go to my parents about it to me and my friend have to show up

Depending on your age your options are limited.

Im experienced in making situations lesser.

If your under 16 you pretty much have to take it in the ass. Your too young and your parents still own you.

If your 17 then I would suggest to argue that you decided to get high and this girl willingly took dxm. Your guilty because you got high, so Act guilty and dont be defensive. Apologetic and sincere feelings of concern for their daughter and imply that it impacted you so much you will change your life. bla bla bla..

I would talk to her parents. She's probably more concerned that her daughter has turned into some drug-addict, more than she is likely to want to yell at you for taking DXM. Just stand your ground, that you didn't force her to do it, that you "don't do other drugs and just wanted to try it" and that you're not going to do it again because of how you saw it effect her. Sure it's all lies but they don't hurt.

The parents will most likly start out asking if their daughter does more drugs. If after that then they will probablly be really pissed off at you guys and if they are a bunch of dicks they will probablly try to yell at you and tell you how irresponsible you are for doing that.

And please tell me that you didn't give the girl 6 pills either. Cause I'm assuming that she is much smaller then you and she wouldn't be able to handle as much as you might be able.

DO not argue, all you can say is that you didn't force her to do it. Just make it seem like you understand how it could've gotten alot worse and shit coulda hit the fance and that you have learned your lesson...

The only reason I can think of that they want to speak with you, and not your parents, is because girls daddy is going to put a one of a kind ass whooping on you. I'd be more careful who you give your stuff too. you just said yourself you underestamated the power of dxm and then you go and give it to some girl. Not to bright..

It's one thing taking something and fucking YOURSELF up, but once you hand it to someone else.. watch out. trouble. been there done that..

Theres no way her dad is gonna do any kind of ass wooping. These guys are obviously minors around 16 years of age, so theres no way her dad is gonna physically discipline you. But im sure hes gonna yell at you, so just take it.
