Just because I dont work for the government does not mean I'm not a part of the military. I am a military spouce, which puts me in that atmosphere. I also leanr about things that most civilians dont typically know about.. at least not for a while. We are in Iraq because Saddam was a threat to us... or so that's what we were being Fed.. iwhatever the reason, I can say that dispite what some of the media is telling you, we have done something for those people that they had tried for yers to do for them selves and all it got them before was dead, tortured and mutilated. Honestly, I think we would ahve gone over there even if 9/11 had not happened. Do I think our current president was compleatly forthcoming with his intentions, no, do I think we should be over there, doing what we are, yes. I firmly beleive we are freeing those people. They have choices now.. they can decide what they wear, how they act, what they say, who the like and dont like, without the fear of then or their family being murdered, and in that sence we are doing wonderful things.. I'm not going to even pretend to say it's perfect, or even that everyone over there apprieciates us, but the majority do. It is only small factions of people and groups that oppose us, and most are connected to the Terrorist portions of Al Queta (sp?) Just to see, how many people know there are several groups that are considered Al Queta and the majority of them are non violent? Every one uses that word to describe terrorist, but in actuallity most of them are not. Anyways, that's a different topic. I personally believe a life is a life despite what they believe. They are worth the same. As long as there is someone who will weep for their loss then that life was valuable. I do compleatly agree with closing our borders.. I can't be certain, because if it is happening, it would be top secret information and I dont ahve that type of clearance, but my husband said something about there being fewer and fewe muslim and Arab people around lately. He theorises that the govnt. is refusing more immigrants, and not renewing Visas, so more and more people are having to leave.. of course, we all know the immigrant situation, and how the majority of them are illegal anyways, and it's only theory, but it was worth a mention. Back after Japan attacked pearl harbor we rounded up all the japanees and held them in places much like concentration camps (assumingly without the torture) until the war was over because they didn't know who was on who's side. My husband thinks we should do it again... I'm on the fence... but I totaly agree that we need to close our borders.

I don't want to quote your whole post. (the one right below mine) I can't refute anything you posted there. The government is doing a good thing. maybe for the wrong reasons ..but still people ARE benifitting besides those worthless beuracrats. I just don't like being lied to. oh by the way the camps the japanese were put in were called "internment" camps. They were in fact put there for their own protection. After the attack on pearl harbour there was a huge backlash of anger towords japanese americans. Had they not been put in the camps MANY japanese americans would have died. The men were offered the chance to fight the germans, and in fact many did. There was still segregation at that time. So they had all japanese regiments. The japanese regiments went on to become one of the most decorated regiments of the war!

Almost every paragraph of that letter emphasises WHY America is hated not only by the Muslims, but by every other country in the world. Unfortunately the majority of you dont realise this, because there is surprising few of you who hold passports, and dont travel, the rest of the world does. If an American walks down streets in Britain, France, Ireland, Germany etc you will be told to fuckoff, due to the ideals you bring with you. Ideals I might add would be hard placed to find in America itself, freedom of speech (NO) freedom of religion (NO) freedom for everybody (CERTAINLY NO). You have to ask yourselves why are we hated, it has nothing to do with success, power or freedom, ask anyone here and the general concensus is they would rather stay where they are. They have the same success the same freedom, what the fuck would they need with power, what the fuck do you need with power.

The way we here see it is that power allows you to enforce trade embargo's, power allows you to pull out of the Kyoto agreement after every country in the world signs up to it, power allows you to drill for oil seemingly every where and anywhere, power allows the rich in your country to get richer whilst your poor get poorer Your power is absolute...

Closing your borders would be a rediculous measure to take, what next put a wall around America drag it into the middle of the pacific? wouldn't be a bad idea. There is no excuss for poor people and minorities.. They do what they are doing because they choose (for the most part) to be that way...
I grew up poor, my highschool was across the street from the projects.. we had shootings, and gang related problems... So much so I dropped out of high school. My mom was a single mom raseing 2 kids without a highschool deploma her self. We grew up in Florida, which is a very expensive state, and my mom only made 18,000 a year. We wore thrift store clothes, and shoes, and had to scrape by. I can't count the times I had mac and cheese and hotdogs for lunch and dinner. Now I have my GED, and am enrolled in college majoring in psychology. I have made and will be makeing huge sacrafices for what I want. I will be enlisting in the military next year after three semesters of school. I will use the miltary to pay for the rest of my school. And mark my words, I will get my doctorate. Minorities have more opportunities than whites do. Almost every single college has affirmative action policies, and offer scholarships. There are more organisations out there to help minorities than I can even count. What you have is some people who want an easy hand out.. I'll just sit at home, have babies, steal cars, and sell drugs and then complain because "my people" can't get a break. If that's the case why are there some minorities that are rich? Some minorities that have good educations? Good jobs? Are they just freaks of nature? No, they wanted more... they didn't want the handout of welfare and food stamps.. they wanted to be proud of theirselves... It's a matter of choice, not situation.. if they are empting my garbage then,for the most part, it's because they dont want anything more. We're not trying to kill people who hate us, we're trying to protect our country from other people who want to kill us! Yes, our system is corrupt, and does't work.. I'll be the first to say that.. I'll even say it has been a theory of mine that we will eventually need to revolt and over throw our government.. possibly sooner than most think. It's at a point where the common phrase that is used when voting is"I'll choose the lesser of two evils" what the hell is that? So the lesser is best? No how about instead you revolt, and choose someone who you genuenly feel is capable? but instead write in a vote... you are still able to do that you know...Or better yet, start fundraisers, and nominate someone yourself.. if you get a large enough group you could do it.. you dont have to be rich.. you just have to have the votes... Anyway, I'm going off my original topic. My point is just like we have preconceptions about other countries, so to, do they about us. Not everyone here is like that... just like i'm sure not everyone over there is how they are percieved to be. As for closing borders, I'm not sure I agree with that... it wont solve anything, just make us look bad... I do think there needs to be tighter resrictins on coming into this country. There's such a backlog on the paper work... you if we put a few million more dollars into hireing more people in those positions, even just temporarily, we could get caught up, but instead... nevermind, I wont go into another rant... I'll go ahead and end it here.. for now...

Not color, NOT COUNTRY just him. This Ideal has taken me far.. I meet cool people (especially on xbox live) all the time....I completely understand where you're coming from though. I did not claim at any time that Europe is better than you, but the facts are that considering we are generally healthier, not many of us are obese, dont have anywhere as near as much gun crime, know where Iraq is, a willingness to embrace rather than segregate other cultures. These are qualities that can only be a good things. And of course you judge people on their merits thats just fucking obvious, but when the merits are ignorance and aggresion, what can you do? And to sum up by saying that Europe hates America because it dosn't smoke hash is ridiculous, a large majority of Europe smokes hash, Britain, France, Spain, Holland - for christ sake Holland is a very free country concerning laws on drugs, mushrooms and the like. So dont try to sum up a continent of people with words that are short and sweet and utterley devoid of fact, just because you see hash and the like as making you a better person, looking at your post teaches me that I need something else in my life. I talked about your country based on facts and reason, not on the strength of a plant.
