I'm through with this red tape BULLSHIT...

I've spent several MONTHS trying to get US identification...
An eternity has been wasted in too many government offices dealing with incompetant government employees...
Everyone seems to leave out very important information about everything very important...
Even when I ask these people very specific questions about how to go about doing this, they all seem to disagree with each other...

I only need my previous passport for identification...
I need two forms of identification...
I can't use my passport as identification...
I need a copy of my birth certificate...
A copy will not suffice, only the original...
Bring a picture ID...
But not that one you just brought...

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU BASTARDS WANT!?!
MY FUCKING KIDNEY???

I can't get my driver's lisence because my passport is expired...
I can't renew my passport because I don't have a driver's lisence...

Genius...

It was seriously alot easier to get my US passport renewed in The Philippines...
What's the fucking deal with that???

Today I went to the post office to submit my application for my passport...
I had to make an appointment...
Still, i had to wait in line for 30 minutes...
Not so bad, but that DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT...

PURE genius...

Finally, I got up to the counter for my turn...
But the woman didn't know how to process passport applications...
WONDERFUL...
So she sent me to another woman to make me wait in line AGAIN...

Pure FUCKING genius...

After more waiting...
It's my turn...
AGAIN...
I present my previous passport and two photographs as stated on the form...
She asks if I have an appointment...
I say yes...
And guess what...
It turns out that the person who I spoke with to make the appointment did not take down my name...
So she says that she'll be taking the people behind me first...

AT THIS POINT...
AFTER MAKING US ALL WAIT IN LINE WITH EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANTED TO SEND MAIL...
DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF WE HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT???

ABSOLUTELY pure FUCKING genius...

But after she realized the stupidity of her statement, she began to tell me that I did not provide sufficient identification...
Not only that...
She ridiculed me for not having any state ID or driver's lisence at my age...
I WONDER WHY...

FIRST OFF...
I just moved back into the country...
SECOND...
I don't have a car, thus making it useless to have a driver's lisence...
I have a Philippine driver's lisence, BUT APPARANTLY THAT COUNTS FOR SHIT IN THIS COUNTRY...
THIRD...
IDIOTS LIKE HER MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN ANY IDENTIFICATION...

Before I could pull out all the other identification cards (which should have been accepted according to the application) out of my wallet to show to her, she continued to degrade me for not having any US identification...
She then handed me back my apllication, AFTER UNSTAPLING EVERYTHING, and dismissed me...

I've gone through this SEVERAL times with trying to apply for my driver's lisence and state identification...

SO THAT'S IT...
I'M THROUGH...
FUCK THIS GOVERNTMENT AND IT'S BULLSHIT REDTAPE...
If they want me to work with the system, then the system better damn well work with me...
The next time I try to apply for this fucking US passport, it'll be so I can apply for residence or citizenship in another country...
I'M DONE...

Sounds like the are asking for the piece of US identification that comes on green paper and has pictures of dead presidents on it. That usuually gets thru the red tape.

It's just discourageing when I've had no problems getting my US passport renewed in other countries, several times...

I should've applied for dual citizenship when I was younger...
Then I could fly out, renew my passport, then use it to get back into the country...

I have to travel to Asia on a business trip in a few moneths...

So I NEED my passport now...
I figured the way to start this process was to apply for a very basic ID...
State ID looked like a good place to start...

So today I went back to the DMV... Again...
Just the place I would love to spend my entire day...

And I'll spare you all the long-ass, boring story...

I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH IDENTIFICATION TO OBTAIN IDENTIFICATION...

Isn't the system beautiful???
