peyote cactus growing

hey guys there isnt anywhere that i know of that i can get peyote cactus, so ive decided to grow it on my own and give it to my friends, considering how cheap seeds are... i was wondering if anyone could link me to a good grow guide? thanks.

its a good hobby but only if you have tons of time. Peyote takes 10-15 years to mature its one of the slowest growing cacti. If you are still interested in growing some, then I can help ya some more and give you tips on how to germinate the seeds.

You may want to look into Pachonoi or Bridgesii species, they are both actives but grow quite a bit quicker. San Pedro aka T. Pachonoi is what I currently grow.

thanks i was looking into San Pedro cacti. i read it takes about a year to grow them... is that right?

Not really, your first year you will be lucky to end up with something around 6-12inches, its more around the 3-5 year mark that you'll reap your benefits.

If you are growing for personal consumption you best bet is to find a cutting and start with that.

you'll have to do your research just like everyone else, I dont get paid enough to teach everyone how to cultivate mushrooms all day.

If you have some questions after digesting that, then I might be willing to go in depth a bit more. Ignore talk of an incubator. Not many people use them, they are mose hassle then they are worth most of the time.
