Xannies ~ what the hell?!

I can get shitfaced drunk where i'm pissing off the roof of a building and still recall most of the night. In fact, thats how I am with every drug... EXCEPT XANAX!

What is it about this drug that mystifies me so much? I took one a half bars last night and had maybe 2-3 beers if even that. You would think I was still functional but.... slurred words, wobbling around, and not recalling any of the night was what ended up happening. What gives xannies the power to make you completely lose track of whats happening around you?

I also seem to lose shit on xannies now matter how careful I am. I always have to put my cell phone and keys in a spot and remember or else they will magically disappear from my pocket. Anyone else have these crazy problems??? I cant imagine someone being prescribed these everyday. Wouldnt you just completely forget about everything about your life day by day?

Well no shit (no offense). But why? What chemical action can induce complete loss of reality such as that? And how can someone take it everyday (prescribed) and not feel the same whay

Last time I took a bar I came woke up the next morning, went outside

Xanax works by increasing the amount of GABA in the brain, that occurs naturally. GABA can stop certain brain signals, and at a low does will make the brain calm, stop seizues, and typicall medicall doses.

The higher the dose, the more signals you block, including motor function, memory and speech.

Benzo's are weak binders however, and although do affect the amount they don't bond in the same way that barbituates do. Barbituates, although similar to benzo's, have a greater amount of saturation which is why it is easy to OD on barbituates, whereas it is very hard to die by simply taking benzos.

The reason some people can take them and have no effect is because the amount of gaba in their brain is low enough to block on the first set of signals (anxiety). However, even people who are taking xanax daily can flood their brain with gaba and experience the same effect as you are describing.

i've only taken them once, i took 5mg, so that's 2 and a half bars right?

don't remember anything past eating the 4th pill...

i broke them in half, took 2 pills first, then another, then another, don't remember eating the 5th...

when i called my roommate who gave them to me in the morning he's like "what are you doing?" and i say "looking for a xany from last night" and he says...

"if you don't remember eating it, you ate it"

seriously though, not a single memory of the entire night...

That is the best quote for xannies. My buddy bought 9 bars and was only planning on taking a few. End of the night he had none and was blaming friends and looking everywhere for his pills. Well we eventually took it as a loss and assumed he ate it all lol

I've never taken xanax before in my life and don't plan to... I know this kid who OD'd off xanax and some other pills. Besides that he was always fucked up on xanax... Everytime I'd see him he'd be walking in the hall and have to basically hold himself up by the walls and stumble everywhere... Sad he's gone now....

Be careful man, a good friend of mind got addiced on the stuff and if he didn't take it he'd have multiple seizures a night, it was scarry watching him fall into seizure after seizure.

i use to get xanax's by the 100's an ppl go crazy for dem i don't mess with pills anymore xanax will get u HOOKEd and its hard to come off of...

First time I tried xanax I was just constantly nodding out. Feel asleep at least a dozen times throughout trying to chill. Didn't get much of a buzz outta it. Took 2mg every hour for three hours. On the come down I was all depressed and suicidal and whatnot. Kinda scary.

Next time I did 4mg at one time, went on my computer, started talking to a girl I had a big crush on, and don't remember anything after that. Woke up the next morning and turns out I asked her out and she said yeah. Can't complain about that Who says drug abuse isn't productive?

I tried it a half dozen or so times heavily since that up until about a few months ago, but not any since then except for the occasional 2mg before work (I have social anxiety, but I chose not to do it daily because I don't like having to rely on medication to get me through the day. Letting loose and having fun is another story as long as you know when enough is enough and that your come down will always end.)

But yeah, forgetting shit is normal. I always like taking 4mg-6mg and down a Monster or something with a similar amount of caffeine. I tend to get really sleepy on xannies and it keeps me awake and helps me remember stuff a bit better.

Well if they are perscribed they don't take as much..DUH?? I guess xanax makes you forget, happens to alot of people..
