The Morning Show's segment on Salvia

I was just watching a segment on Salvia (Fox 5 News in NY) and am in shock at how dumb witted the so called experts actually are. The segment was discussing the legality of Salvia and if it should be criminalized. I'm not a frequent watcher of the show, that was actually my first time. It was blatantly obvious what the program was trying to say. It might be up on youtube soon so watch out for that. But for those who don't want to wait this is how it went.

There are 2 hosts, one female, one male, both conservatives. There were 4 guests and 1 that was via satellite.

From left to right they were seated in this manner:

Pharmaceutical expert
Salvia user and Salvia seller (online)
College student Salvia user
Salvia user
Satellite guy: Some expert of some kind

In short, the hosts and the audience basically made up their minds before the segment actually began. It made the Salvia users look like the scum of society when in fact that wasn't the case. Every time on of the experts talked the audience would cheer. The Salvia users, especially the College student user, were on the defensive the whole time and noticed what the hosts and experts were trying to do. A girl came out who lost a cousin to suicide due to his irresponsible way of using Salvia. Don't get me wrong, I feel for their family but to seriously blame a drug, especially one like Salvia, for suicide is ignorant. Then the expert on the far left said "Salvia should be illegal."

That was when I got really ticked off. None of the Salvia users brought up how dumb criminalizing drugs actually is. Before this month I had no idea what Salvia was but was very very informed of the effects, slang terms, etc. of the drugs that are currently illegal. Would making Salvia illegal really stop users from using? Of coarse not. They will just pay more to have a higher chance of being put in jail.

This whole situation is retarded. /out

Well guys, I did the best I could with what time I had. The producers did a 180 on me telling me what I can say and what i can't. I'm sure they edited alot of what I had to say, but basically the show was about 80% bullshit. Mike and Juliet do not represent the people and I should have known that FOX news wasn't to be trusted. The Dr. on the show was such a liar, he stated facts the were totally opposite backstage and the guy from Wonderland rehab was such a fucking hypocrite it was amazing. The 2 guys who had made videos did agree that putting videos on youtube were a bad idea and agreed to take them off anf to encourage others to do so. I also had a chance to speak with Brett's(suicide) family, we had our own personal talk backstage away from the show and we got somethings off our backs, but it was productive. I think when they saw that a reatiler and advocate wasn't some thug or uneducated person it put a little perspective the current professionalism of the salvia community. I contact Daniel Siebert to help but he didn't return any communication. What a leader from someone who brought Salvia out into its current light. Thank's DAN! Although i was trashed on TV, I don't regret going because then there would have been NO voice to defend it and Salvia would have no chance. But I said what I could and what pisses me off is the mind-less drones of an audience, these guys in the seats would not react unless the show advisors tell them to, and whenver they wanted to paint me the "evil" tehy would pump them up. Funny thing was 99% of the audience were upper middle class caucasians, no ehtincity diversity at all. It was like being in a hung jury down south. But again I tried my best and if anyone has access to a show where I can come out with more than 7-10 minutes where I can debate the doctor and the rehab center guy I would love the chance. P.S. the wonderland rehab guys was very ballsy (since he was tele-conferenced) to call me a "Drug Dealer" on air, I'm glad he did though because my attorney just filed a "Defamation of Charachter" suit against him and the courier should reach him tommorrow, he he. Anyways what was on the show is totally opposite form what was said backstage. We knew it was going to be like this and I knew I was going into the lions den, but I didn't fear this expectation. We need the to join together or else Salvia will be pulled away from us, I still need to know that we have eachothers back and are willing to fight for this. Post to this if you fell the same way I hope that many of you can help.

yea well i am thankful because of the news...their segment on it made me want to try it. next time im out i kno where 2 go. besides most of them are all stupid. they sit at home or stay busy working but either way they will listen to these news people and they will kept their eyes shut; so thats whats seperate us. meanwhile ima just chill do my thing, do what i have to do, mind my own business and either patiently wait until they stop being scard of negativity and make it legal....either that somewhere else here i come

they will do anything to make salvia look dangerous and scare people. in my opinion its the safest drug you could possibly do. and it doesnt last that long so theres little chance of any psychological damage that you could get from a bad trip on acid or mescaline.

one article i read, some anti-salvia dude said "i dont want to be driving on rt.1 next to someone who's having an out-of-body experience." complete bullshit who in the right mind would hit salvia while driving? they try to make it sound like its "the new marijuana" when really half the people that try it never do it again because its such a creepy trip. good luck finding a salvia addict
