Pills for social anxiety?

Sup guys, I'm pretty new to GC, definitely a chill place. Just by looking around Pandora's Box I see lots of you know about pills, so I got a question for you guys. I'm looking for a pill to help me with my social anxiety, I've had it nearly all my life. I'm a senior in High School and I just started to grow out of the anxiety this year, maybe because I started smoking weed. It's never been a big problem, except when I'm around women I find attractive. I don't get totally retarded and start babbling, but I don't feel like I'm myself around them at all. I was thinking about trying valium or maybe xanax, just so I could get comfortable. I doubt my doctor will be very helpful, since I'm only 18, and it seems more like teenage awkwardness than real social phobia. But whatever, I have a month and a half til prom and I gotta kick this fear in the ass soon or I might have it for the rest of my life. So what do you guys think, is this idea worth pursuing?

If you want to get rid of social anxiety then you have to change your way of thinking like I did.

you aint gonna have it for the rest of your life mateas you say its only a phase your goin through bud and pills aint gonna help in the long run. apart from you maybe getting a real liking for them and before you know it the pills are first and girls are secondary.

you say that you babble etc around girls.............try and say very little if at all ,girls love guys who listen..,take pride in your appearance,and if around a girl you like DO NOT GET WASTED,a real turn off for most ladies.

most of us guys had this prob when your age its natural mate.
remember the girls are as nervous as you when your together.
be yourself brother it'll all fall into place.........patience my friend.

Well For starters, it's a good idea to take a small excursion to the Gent's room and inhale exhale, then possibly ohhhm! OR better Yet try Yoga. Dude People gonna talk about you till' the day you die, which there's nothing you can do about, except just laugh it off with a smile, cause it's not you, it's them.
Okay enough of me gettin' all Dr. Phil or Steve Wilkos on you, since this is about a quick fix.

I would recommend judicious use of bud, but I uinderstand you need a stealth alternative.(although If you decide on using weed, but wanna be stealth, I recommend you use a one hitter, or better yet empty a cig(possibly Winston, Marlboro,Prime Time or Virginia Slim)then refill 75-90% with weed-Nobody will know YOU are getting high)
I would try with some herbal pills like St. John's wort(but please beware that it could make you UV sensitive), or Tylenol #3(Tylenol with Codeine; Be careful it can be both physically and psychologically addictive).
