Im now a member of prozac nation

Ok so i got prescribed prozac today and i need to know a few things. How does prozac react with the follwing drugs

adderall
weed
opiates like hydrocodone/oxycodone
xanax
Ecstasy- im pretty sure that this combination can be deadly i think.


any advice?

not sure about taking it with any other things, but taking it with E should be fine. but if you're on prozac for depression it will fuck you up in the come-down from E.

Prozac is an ssri, it can be dangerous if taken with e, and you won't get any effect off the e if you take it so don't bother.

Prozac is also only as effective as sugar pills in regular depression which tends to clear up over time and is not helped by prozac, however it is effective in chronic depression.

Prozac is an SSRI, Taking like 15mg or more of an SSRI for 3 days or more before taking E lowers the effects a TON. If I remember what I read a while back correctly.

ok thanks. I didnt plan on taking E anytime soon anyways i was just curious.

But i do like to take opiates and adderall occasionally. So does nayone have any info on the other drugs i listed?

Apparntly there has been a study that claims Prozac is no better than placebos. The following is from The Frontal Cortex at Science Blogs.com

I think the way medication being handed out like candy is fucking nuts. Doctors don't even really want to do their jobs, just fill out prescription forms and get as many patients in a day as possible. Plus I can guarantee these pharm companies give doctors and hospitals kick back for prescribing their shit.

I can 100% confirm that adderall and prozac mix just fine, theres no worries there.


As for the opiates...I think it depends on the type of opiate your planning on taking but as far as I know it's fine to mix them infact it maybe raise the high a tiny bit.

does great for all of them...but I've heard that with E that It reduces the roll...?..I don't know, but what I do know is that it will reduce the neurotoxicity when the comedown occurs..

The neurotoxicity is the high, not the comedown. Though I do think it helps with the comedown seeing as it prevents you from getting high or as high.
