I was in a major car accident late October, from which I was in a lot of pain. So i was prescribed MS Contin (Oral Morphine) and Percocet as pain relievers. After taking them for a few months very regularly (as often as prescribed and sometimes more) I have been cutting back in the past few weeks.

Heres my problem, i have been noticing some symptoms lately, and looked up opiate withdrawal symptoms, and mine match.

So heres the thing. I take around 4 Percocet a day, but am trying to lower it to 2 to save some up for emergencies later, and ill take about 3 MS Contins every week (also trying to save for later).

Is there anything i can do to get rid of the symptoms? What have you done when you struggled with opiate withdrawal.

Note: I am not psychologically addicted, just physical withdrawal.

Smoke a lot, there's not much else you can do. It could be so much worse, trust me.

take showers, drink a lot of fluids.

expect alot of diarrhea and flu like symptoms. your body is getting rid of a lot of fluids and it needs to take in fluids.

you should ween yourself down and smoke a lot of herb. Cannabis is one of the only known opiate potentiators.

Last night I was having opiate withdrawl and valium withdrawl...

It was a BITCH still having opiate withdrawl though I feel like im going to fucking die....

Aha, damn and i was going to stop smoking weed for a while.

Guess imma postpone that.
Im gonna go to my physician in a few weeks, but heres the problem:

I want to tell him that i have been having withdrawal symptoms that i would like to supress, but also im going to ask for another refill on my meds because im still in pain. How do you guys think that will go over?
Should i just 'leave' out the part of my withdrawal?

Smoke your face off, trust me it helps a lot. Buy an ounce or a half ounce and just smoke like there's no tomorrow, at least that's what I would do.. if it's bad enough. Percocets and MS contin aren't too bad, but since you've been taking it everyday it's definitely not good.

Don't tell him you want to quit, tell him you're in pain and you need one more refill. He doesn't need to know why you want more, he might not give you any if he knows you want to quit.

If you could get hydrocodone that will definitely help, you can kinda replace it. Hydrocodone is very mild and it can help you a lot if you can get your hands on some, don't be worried about getting addicted to that because you wouldn't be using it long enough.

well you must take it a lot, if he's only taking it for 2 weeks he won't get addicted to that. I used to get 50-100 10/325 norcos for free and pop them all within two weeks. Hydrocodone is VERY mild compared to any other opiate, trust me. Most people who fuck with oxy or junk aren't even affected by vicodins.

Yea im gonna go with the one more refill, since i still am in pain, and that way i will try to taper myself off and still have a bunch left over for recretional use down the road.

About to go blaze a jetsi (joint) up.

I do oxy I feel norcos they're mostly codeine you know...

Haha, that makes no sense dude. Codeine has nothing to do with oxycodone or hydrococone. You must not take oxy very often, everyone I know that does will not even feel vicodin unless they take more than 25 mg. I love how you tell me I'm wrong.
