Diphenhydramine a.k.a. Benadryl

I was skeptical at first, too. But I walked into the drug store and bought 48 25mg pills of generic diphenhydramine (yes, the hydrochloride is okay). Now, this is where it gets a little bit tricky, but not really. The first time you do it, you'll probably underdose if you're too scared, but an overly intense experience could turn out to be very negative to you. If you're trying your first time, take about 8 to 12 pills. If you enjoyed the experience, which I would be happy to describe if this thread draws any interest (by the way, why don't we have a sticky thread for experience reports or advice regarding various legal and illegal drugs?). Please, at least give people around you some sort of warning, because otherwise no one will have any idea as to what to do to bring you down. Just tell them you'll be cool if they just play along every once in awhile, or tell you you're hallucinating.

I had a powerful experience with about 16 pills. Basically, I experienced numerous, life-like hallucinations of both visual and aural nature. Again, I'd be happy to elaborate. Someone on this forum said there was no mindfuck. I think you'll find that the greatest mindfuck comes not during your trip, but after, as you attempt find out what really did happen that night. Rationality will go absolutely out the window, if you dose large.

Make sure you take at least one 200mg caffeine pill (No-Doz). That'll easily help you avoid fallen asleep. Simply lie down, play some music, and try to avoid smoking weed. I think it's important to understand the nature of Benadryl on its own first. Weed does enhance the intensity of your experience, and may be able to bring back hallucinations during the late come-down period, but it definitely clouds an already impaired mind. Just go through it once without weed first, and then feel free to experiment.

Important to note is the following: a Benadryl trip is actually very long. Mine was much longer than a standard acid trip. Therefore, the come-up is slow. It's also a creeping type of trip, so if you don't think you feel it, try to ask yourself again twenty minutes later. However, length seems to be greatly affected by the dose amount. Give yourself a full 24-hour-long operating period. I'm sure you don't need to hear this, but driving is not worth the risk at all, and you will understand when you experience some Benadryl hallucinations. This is hardcore shit people, but its legal and if you can handle DXM, this is a cheaper and cleaner alternative. I have experienced no nausea at all.

I also noticed that in a previous thread regarding this substance someone pointed out that the trip is not really a "trip" but rather a "delerium". Well, that "delerium" can be amazingly pleasant and mind-expanding, as could a DXM dose, I'm sure. So let's just let people like what they like, okay?

I dont know about you, but every time I took more than the recommended dose, I felt like complete shit. It felt cool for the first half-hour but after that it sucked ass. Not worth it to me. Id rather just smoke a blunt.

I assume most of us here think that way. However, I wanted to vouch for this drug because it gave me a very interesting understanding of hallucinations and dream-like but waken states.

Perhaps taking the caffeine pills will make the trip better for you. Also, try not to smoke weed, because it can "warp" your experience until its just too fucked up to maintain any rational thoughts at all. 16 pills is enough to keep me hallucinating for about ten hours, but the experience is not so intense as to be uncomfortable.

Caffeine? Also, 600 mg maybe "normal" for some people, but I think that would be pretty damn intense for me. Therefore, I think 400 - 500 is good for me personally, and I think the trips within that range provide enough interesting events to keep me happy. These are real hallucinations folks, I can't express that enough. If you didn't know better (and you'll find you won't at points in the trip) you might think you were lucid dreaming.

If you are coming down or you already feel totally down, you should try smoking the cannabis you have hashing around somewhere. Then you can enjoy a very trippy, musically-inventive experience. This is a type of euphoria. And my visions gets very clearly fucked up. However, another way to quickly and intensely boost you trip is to simply take one more pill. Benadryl is remarkable in its stubborn denial of the law of diminshing returns. One little pill can quickly bring about more intense peak. [I would say I'm in one now.] I would guess this feels similar to a low PCP dose. I plan to ask for some of that tomorrow. I wonder if Jose has done that shit. The hallucinations can be fun, but as I said, after about 30 I just feel like shit it kills it for me
