I've seen enough done to animals without cause and even worse things done for only a small reason, so I will not watch that video.

I respect all living things, even insects, as much as I do any human. I respect some animals more than I respect some humans. Because of that, I think along the lines of this; Even if a human is on death row for some 'unspeakable' crime, when it is his time to die for no less of a purpose than to make some people feel better, he still receives a humane death.

Why should an animal not, when whatever the reason for their death is probably a more just reason than putting a death row inmate to death?

I'm not apposed to the death penalty by the way, but I'm not for it either. I just know, personally, that I would take no comfort in the death of another human for the sake of making me feel better, despite whatever it is he did to anyone/anything I knew or loved.

Yeah, that shit is fucked up on the video. I've seen videos like it and can guess what this one is like from the responses... but those aren't even the ones that really get me.

The things that get me are the little kids who for an hour, will go around finding butterflys and picking off their wings for amusement, and not even killing them afterwords.

The people who as soon as they see an animal run out on the road, wether it stops or not in fear, they try to run it down, and laugh as they do it.

I've witnessed a group of kids beat a turtle to death with wooden sticks, just to see how hard it's shell was.

It's the principal behind the matter of those things... it may not seem as brutal as what is on that video, but is it still any 'better?'

People, in general are assholes. We have laws against people being that much of assholes to eachother... so they choose to take it out on animals.

Oh and for the record, it's not like I'm a tree hugging hippy. I like hippies and all... but I just have a level of respect for almost anything. If anyone wanted to think I was a hippy, all they have to do is look in my gun cabinet or find me on the opening day of Deer season. I'm an avid hunter, and I fish almost as much. I'm not gonna get in to how I can think the way I do and still be a hunter, without being a hypocrit... but still.

Yeah dude I saw the title and I didn't even have to watch the video. PETA is about as corrupt as any organization gets. Their insaine, they make scientologists look good. They make videos like that in order to scare people into joining their "animal rights group". Fucked up thing is that they are the ones who were torturing the animals.

Let me give you some background on PETA.... They walk around NY throwing pig blood on the people wearing fur. They go to elementary schools and pass out bulletins about how eating animals is wrong and you're a horrible person if you do it. All the animals donated to PETA were youthanized, beceause it is much more inexpensive to youthanize an animal than to find it a new home.

Their beliefes are that humans should not eat animals, have them as pets, or do testing on them.

PETA is fucking crazy, whenever I see the word PETA I click the X at the top of the screen.

1. Not all propaganda is true.
2. Some propaganda is true
3. Many animals are treated inhumanely for their meat, fur, etc.
4. I believe it is neither ethical or necessary to kill animals for their meat, fur, etc., no matter how it is done.
5. I am a vegetarian.

I was raised in a very animal friendly household and looking at a pet store makes me cringe.

I just hate sitting here wishing I could do something to help.
