Whats up GC brotha's and sista's?

I finally had a day off and just came back from the plot from tying up the girls for Irene's little visit just in case. Once I came home and was checking out all the pictures I had I figured why not just throw them up on GC and make a quick thread.

So here is a little background of this grow. The majority of the babies were wiped out by the rain this spring due to my hasty effort to bring the girls outside early. I must have lost 16 plants. Live and learn I suppose. I ended up sending out another wave of girls in late May early June. Started in solo cups then moved to one gallon pots with worm castings, cow manure, bone, blood and kelp meal along with a little lime. They were then moved into there holes around early July. From there holes they really haven't been "fed" anything. I've only top dressed with cow manure twice through their vegetative growth and recently have hit them up with some fish emulsion and molasses. Not too much more other than that as far as this grow goes.

As far as strains I have the majority of my plants mixed up from not labeling but its always fun to guess. There are Kalashnikova's (GHS), Himilayian Gold's (GHS), Big Bang (GHS), The Church (GHS), Frisian Dew (Gifted Clone), S.A.G.E. (THSeeds), Sweet Deep Grapefruit (Dinafem) and probably some others that I have lost track of...

I haven't been able to tend to them the way I had originally planned but they are luckily healthy all the same.

So lets get the show on the road!

Now i've been pretty curious about this plant all season. It has very odd deformed growth. The branching is odd, ambiguous and not at all uniform in anyway. The leaves are also either curled or oddly shaped, but healthy? Check it out.

Well thats it for now. Things should start getting interesting real soon. All of them have been in flower for at least a week now. And i'm probably going to end up taking a sampler from the Frisian Dew soon. Smells so sweet!:D Have a good one fellow GC blades.

Really glad to finally see all your girls, they all look awesome.
That last one that looks a bit "deformed", I don't know what to tell you, but hey, who knows; maybe you'll get crazy strong "mutant" bud ;):smoke:

Keep it up bro

Exactly, I had that weird ass Aurora in my last grow, and her bud structure was a little goofy, but other than that she still had the same smoke as the other 2 plants, so no complainin' about some muties :D

Whats up DurteeD! Thanks for stopping in and the compliments on the garden. Its really not that impressive. This grow is a great example of what someone can get with minimal effort, and time. I go check them once every week and half to two weeks. MJ is a wonderfully resilient plant, and the majority of strains can go without a whole lot of TLC and still thrive because of such great genetics.

And the Frisian Dew was extremely tempting last time I went out but I decided to let them go a little bit more before I get a sampler. :D And I bet that Widow was some good nug my dude! :smoke: Hows that stretched WW doing nowadays?

It was indeed. I was baked like a cake my friend :smoking: . The stretched was making an incredible comeback. She steadied out at 14 feet tall and just started filling out like mad. Huge cola's were starting and lots of them. Sadly many good things must come to an end, or near and end anyhow and she took a massive beating from the hurricane. She's stills standing but with about 50% of her goods missing :(

Let me go on record saying that; Irene is a bitch.

The good news however is that I have now an abundance of casualty buds in my possession. What will I ever do with these? I have an idea - :bongin:

Home stretch brochacho. We can practically hold our breath to harvest. Hang in there and be safe.

Im pretty sure the fan leaves have only 7 leaves, but I haven't really looked for it. HG from GHS is a tall lanky plant and is listed as a hybrid but is without a doubt in my mind Sativa dominant for sure. And post up the pick! I love the bud structure and hairiness on this plant. Looks almost dangerous. :D

Feel free to post your whole damn garden if you want to. Always feels good to show some peeps your goods. Its what GC is for. :smoke: The spacing on the branches and buds on the Himalayan Gold are very long, of course my plant wasn't given the proper veg time to really bolster up for flower but regardless I think it would be a lanky plant either way. And i've learned don't ever criticize until you smoke it! There vast amounts of strains all with different stages of growth for good reason! These plants have been selected for the most valuable traits to a grower, smoker and medical user forever, and in the last 30 years breeders have made some of the most potent and productive plants ever seen as far as MJ. Cannabis has literally evolved to our liking to perpetuate its own existence. Hard to come by shitty genetics nowadays unless you're planting mexican hay bail seeds.

A little later i'll post an update from my visit this morning. I just got home from work and i'm about to sit down and have a cup of Joe and clean up the lawn a bit. That old bitch Irene fucked up some of my willow trees and now i've got to get the ole chainsaw out!

So here is the post-irene update. Luckily to say the garden is 100% damage free despite the 60mph gust! The day before I made sure to stake the girls up a little extra.

So I hit em with a tad of molasses and I was on my way.

So my usual schedule when I go to my gardens' is to first gather the water necessary for the visit. Once everything is gathered I will just stand and go through the garden carefully examining each on of the girls. Maybe a sniff, a shake, a brush through the canopy or a pick of dead or needless leaves or branches. I then work my back to shake up the molasses for the girls. I pass the Frisian dew in my travels twice and each time a pleasantly sweet stankiness lingers to my nose to catch my attention. I continue with the watering and adjusting of the girls and finally find myself at the end of my work. I again gather my things to exit the area and sure enough as I pass the Frisian Dew that mystical magical sweet funk lingers back to catch me...
I was helpless...

It smells like a sweet fermenting bowl of berries with a skunky undertone. That one little twig is stanking up one half of my apartment drying in my room. Roomates keep asking me if im smoking without them.:P Can't wait to puff on it. I wish I had a better camera though. Resolution is quite shitty..:o

Im not entirely sure as of now. I only go out once or twice a week at the most. The next time ill be able to go out isn't for a few days, but if the Frisian Dew is starting to darken up on the hairs and trichs I will no doubt. If she's smelly really sweet to me i'll really have no choice but to bring her in but im thinking she can go another week - week and a half before chop. Fatten her up! That and I feel confident in the weather forecast. Its still warm and they call for mostly sunny days for the next 10 days.

Regardless i'm grabing at least a couple grams off of some branches. I quick dried those little buds and made up some QWISO real quick. Packed the bowl top dressed with some hash, and I have got to say I am pretty stoned. :smoking:
