Yet again another grow season has come upon us. In the upcoming weeks and months(hopefully) a wonderful process will occur. Me and my close companion are at it once again in “frogwood” a mystical place with some shitty soil, miles of nasty brush, poison ivy, stinging nettles, critters of all sorts, and a nice long grow season. After a few minor mishaps last year, I’m hoping for a smooth grow season. I’m planning on sewing my seeds sometime in the middle of april all dependent on the weather in the great outdoors. The clones will come some after(I hope). Best of luck to all my growers and have a wonder grow season especially on the central east coast.

MycoGrow™ Soluble (I bought 2 ounces)

MycoGrow™ Soluble is similar to Plant Success™ Tabs but is more concentrated, containing more spores and more species, plus other beneficial organisms. Consisting of powdered spore mass rather than tablets, MycoGrow™ Soluble is great for adding to rooting media or commercial potting soils. Sold in one pound and one ounce increments. An ounce is sufficient to treat 125–250 plants covering approximately 250 square feet.

Superthrive: 60ml bottle all I need is a dropper so I don’t add so much.

Fox Farms Nutes: Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom

Soil: Roots Organic
So far I’ve bought 4x 1.5 cubic feet of a truly exceptional ready-to-use coco fiber-based potting soil. We begin with a base of the highest quality coco fiber/Coir on the planet which is repeatedly washed for an incredibly low EC, and composted for over twenty-four months, and is specially blended with extra long fibers. This soil is amended with only the highest quality organic ingredients including bat guano, premium earth worm castings, fish bone meal, feather meal, green sand, mycorrihzae, glacial rock dust, soybean meal, humic acid, and many more. Already blended with correct proportions of perlite and pumice for excellent drainage and a vigorous root system, Roots Organics potting soil encourages healthier plants and better yields. Comes in a heavy-duty, ready-to-grow, 1.5 cu ft/10 gal, camoflauge print bag; simply poke holes in the bottom, cut off the top, and plant.

And 2 bags of Roots Organic Formula 707(3cubic feet a piece). Formula 707 was created for a special kind of gardener: one who wants to control their own destiny. It is different from the other potting mixes created by Aurora Innovations. It was designed with greater water holding capacity, less perlite and pumice, and specific ingredients for large container gardening. In fact, the bag itself is a 30-gallon grow bag containing just less than 20 gallons of the finest quality potting mix. Made from only the finest ingredients, coarse peat, coco fiber, compost, perlite, pumice, worm castings, bat guano, fish bone meal, soybean meal, feather meal, kelp meal and much more.

Seeds: I’ve got 2 types of feminized seeds. Both by Green House Seeds, I’ve got 4 of each lemon skunk and great white shark. Also I have 5 lowryder 2’s which I’m not sure if I will plant, a 20 pack of a Swiss outdoor mix, and one seed from my grow last year.

Clones: The clones aren’t guaranteed but I close friend of mine who I gave 2 seeds (lemon skunk and a gws), told me that anytime I need cloes he’ll be there for me, so I put my trust in him. I believe he is growing white rino and some form of WWxSomething, but I’ll have more information when the time comes.

Containers: 10gallon is the planned size, but according to roots organic you can just poke holes in the bags and poof! grow bags, so I’ll look into that. And I’m still not sure what size container I’ll be starting the seeds in.

Grow Spot: Same as last year or in the near vicinity. I’ll make sure that I’ve some chicken wire around my plants in some type of a cone shape, because last year I lost bout 10-15 plants due to what I believe was rabbits.

Pest Deterrents: I’ve always gone for soap some mothballs and hair from the barber shop. I’ll continue with that and look into some other ways like the chicken wire stated in the above statement. Deer and rabbits seem to be the only pest I gotta worry about(I don’t want to speak to soon) and maybe some hunters late in the season.

Watering: I’m going to craft up a water device out of a large bookbag and a 5gallon water cooler or jug, so I can makes it a little bit easier on myself and my grow partner.

Any input would be great appreciated. Thank you and grow on.

Any updates on this? I have a few friends that are doing exactly what you've described, and I'd love to learn more about outdoor growing and what kinds of yields and experience you have out there.

Pulling up a chair or should I have a four wheeler? :D I did not realize those camo bags were coco heavy. We just might have to try one outside. Are you planning on starting at home first or just planting the seeds out there? I was not on GC for the last grow season outdoors so am very excited to tune in for this year's grows!

Today I went out to the spots with my partner to do some "lawn work" just cleaning up sawzalling down a few bushes that blocked the sun. We did that to 3 spots the first 2 spots seem like the could hold 2-3 plants apiece. and the furthest spot maybe 4. I also bought some chicken wire today 3 foot tall the i'll shape into cones or something to keep the pests at bay. The weather around here has been seasonably warm except for this weekend when temps are gettin in the mid 30's.

Mrs.Ed i'll be starting them in my backyard, and will be moving them once they get to about 6-8 inches. I believe that containers i'm starting in are half gallons.

Mr302 welcome my fellow Delawarean.

 Higha Firehose, The only thing that I could add, because you've thought of everything, is the possibility of racoons. There everywhere. They will dig under any upright fence to get at the roots of your plants. There is a way to deter this, if you need it. Just sink some kind of screen around the plants themselves. They will paw at it, but if sturdy in the ground they'll give up.

Good luck with you and your partners grow! This is going to be fun to watch. :D

I started germinating 4 lemons skunks, 4 great white skarks, and 4 swiss outdoor mixes. all the seeds popped and they are now in soil. I'm now just hopping for everybody to show there face above the soil. I seems to me that the gws is more vigorous then the lemon skunks but that just a guess, because the root thingy that popped out of the seeds was twice as long as the lemon skunk. time will tell. I also sprayed them down a lil bit a superthrive.
here are some pics.

I would like to thank you, Firehose, for this thread.

Now I am finding myself taking hikes in the woods and wondering if it'd be a prime location to grow.

My g/f is getting sick of me pointing out locations while driving. "Look, there is a stream right there, and the canopy is really open and...."

Thanks Indeed.

:hello: I too think the GWS is more vigorous. It's the biggest so far, as it has surpassed the Cheese in size now.

The LS is a strange looking plant for an Indica. It has more sativaish leaves, and is a strange color. :smoking:

Subscribed.

Nice selection of quality soils and fertilizers. I live in the "707" and must say that soil is what everyone uses if they have the money..........

Don't use the bag as a container if you plan on moving the plants around often or very far. Have you started your seeds?

Rabbits got me two years ago. The little fuckers peeled and ate the bark off the bottom of the trunk on two of my biggest plants.

I feel the same way. The guy i gave 2 seeds to has since moved to NC thats why i have 4 of each. he told me the same thing(about the LS), but his moving situation didn't line up with my summer clone situation. so so maybe he'll invite me for a harvest..blah blah i've had to many drinks. my babies are sheltered tonight 35ish round here..they'll be in the 50's
