I guess it is time to prepare for my next crop of MJ. I still have 6 jars in the pantry, but if ya don't sow, you won't reap.

I swear that private airplanes and sheriff helicopters stopped flying when I harvested my last plant earlier this year. It has been a peaceful and worry free few months, but so long as this plant is against the law, I'm going to be an outlaw.

I will use this thread to keep up with my grow for 2009 so check back every once in a while to see what's going on.

I will also try to post pictures that may help new growers get started.

Yessss! Glad you're here Oldskool! What strains are you planning for this Summer? Whatever the strains, I'm sure it'll all look exquisite when it's time to chop! :hello:

Hey Corto, thanks for being the first to post in my new grow journal.

I'm starting out with three "Blue Ice" seeds. These are homemade last summer when I let an Ice male live in hopes of making some seeds. I made seeds alright...in every plant that was growing. The sample grow from these genetics turned out great...the best, tight buds I have ever grown so this will be the main part of my garden.

I do have one feminized Himalayan Gold seed that I will start next month that my son gave me. I think between these two strains, I should have a pantry full of decent grass for the next year.

I got off to a pretty bad start. Of the three seeds I planted, one was knocked over and dumped out and another damped off. I have one seedling that is doing well with its second set of leaves coming in.

I'm going to start a few more seeds today to make sure I have some girls.

I had to get serious about growing grass again so I planted a few seeds on 7/25. The Himalaya Gold did not sprout but my homegrown seeds did, so I have been growing them in the box. They were way ready to transplant from the party cups so now they're ready to go into their flowering stretch. I will clone the girls and veg them in the growbox once they show sex.

I've been waiting for this one. Your late season and winter grows make me want to move somewhere warmer.

I appreciate all the well wishes and kind vibes. I had gotten lazy over the summer but now I'm back in gardening mode. Will update this thread as things happen.

Hope all you summer gardeners have huge frosty nuggets getting ready for harvest.

4 of the 6 plants put out to flower turned out to be girls. The boys are becoming compost and the remaining four are grooving in the Sept. sun. Two more are still vegetating in the growbox and I started another seed last weekend. that should stagger the grow thru December at least.

I guess the excitement of my first few grows has worn off. I'm not nearly as attentive to my garden as I once was but it is still coming along fairly well. I am experiencing a rash of caterpillar damage. Every evening I have been picking 4-5 of those green bastards.

Anyhow, nice nuggets forming. Four of the plants have been flowering 42 days and the other two are 24 days into flowering. I'm having problems with the images, hope this works.

Im wondering the same thing, because I know cold fronts come thru every once in a while and can drop in the 40's and 30's at night.

Those buds are looking fat as fuck! nice grow. +rep florida grower
