Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

Some bad news. All of the plants started stretching really hard for some reason, and are starting to shrivel up and die. I have no idea what is causing it, watering is fine and the lights are fine.. I am thinking it might be too hot in there, it sits at around 38 celsius at its highest.

If anyone has any idea what might be causing this feel free to chime in, or it looks like this years grow might not happen at all.

Get them out of those small cups and in to open containers where the air can move around them.

38C is definitely too much for plants with no air moving around them.

The leaves are pointing up at the light which is usually a good sign.It looks like they are too hot or too much nitrogen. Hard to tell since I don't know celsius or what you are watering with and how often. And also what type of soil. I would try lowering temp though and remember they don't need much fert at that age.

Your the man Leapfrog!! I put some more holes in the cups and topped each pot as high with soil as I could without damaging the plant. All plants have made a full recovery and are looking really nice and green. A couple have been put outside, more updates soon to come! Thanks again, its much appreciated!

The soil is Organic Hortibec with Perlite. The temp was sitting at 38c which is much to high, I regulated it now and its sitting around 30c-34c. All of the plants made a full recovery!

I wont be giving nutes till they are outside.

They recovered and are back on track. I think indoor starts should be done in ealry Spring and def. not in ummer unless you have a real indoor set up. I did the same mistake and nearly killed mine just with fluos and a closed closet (37 I read).

I definitely should of started earlier, it is something I really regret. Do you think if they go outside within a weeks time I should still get decent yield? Thats a big problem with closets and such, the ventilation is weak, if you were getting 37 on fluo I should really be watching my temps. Thanks!

Is there any way to speed up my growing so they should be ready? Should I look into Fox Farm nutrients to help them? Thank you!

Sorry no.

Flowering times are programed by the plants genetics...

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

Yeah I think good temps for indoors is 25 Celsius so it's easier to achieve in Spring.
Plant them asap ((5-20 gzllon pots will be your best bet now).
Use an airy soil mix: 1/3 perlite or lave chips or straw/hay and 1/5 composted horse manure and the rest regular potting soil. Then just add nutes along the way. Don't add nutes in 1st month of new soil (unnecessary). The fasdted way to get them going is to NOT fert them and let them be for a while WITH AN AIRY SOIL MIX.
Get em in max sun (6 min).
I use cork screw plugs at bottom (3/4 holes plugged) in drainage holes. Also you can find mulch (bought or gathered around -no pine needles or oak leaves though -acidic. You can find some little branches and reg. leaves for example. This will reduce waterings with the plugs.
I also use water crystals but if you don't have them the plug and mulch will hold water well.

If they have sativa pheno in them they'll keep on growing even in flowering (after August). If they're reg. indicas, the growth will stop in one month and start budding. Just use budding nutes when they bud.

You'll still get a NICE amount if you hide your grow outdoors well and give them TLC.

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

^ That was EXACTLY what I needed to hear Corto. I cannot explain my appreciation for what you just posted. This is actually my 1st ever outdoor grow so I am kinda unsure about what I am doing. I am a pretty experienced Indoor grower so I should be able to pick up things quickly. I have some mulch and perlite set aside for when they go outside, and some 7-8 Gallon pots.

I will update once they move outside, which should be within the week. Thanks again for all the help Leapfrog and Corto!

no offense but by the looks of your plants which are growing indoors, dosent seem like you have to much experience...

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

^ Well I have multiple grow threads from last season, and I wouldn't really say experienced haha, this is my 3rd or 4th grow. This is the first grow where I have had problems, every other time, including my 1st, were a piece of cake. The only issue I have seemed to be the temp and the dixie cups half filled, other than that they should be on track.
