lol, its starting to seem like you don't want me to grow

It's really not as bad as you think, I've lived here all my life and I can tell you those averages aren't nearly as high as the temperature usually is. I'm not from Ottawa either, I'm much more south and the temperature is usually warmer. Stay tuned and see what happens later on

Once again thanks for all the help!

No not @ all.

I am just trying to save you some money, maybe for an indoor grow instead?

I would love to do a really nice indoor grow, but unfortunately I am in college and living with my parents, and I do not want to do anything large scale inside my parents home. If I lived on my own I would be more than willing to venture into the indoor growing scene, but unfortunately it is going to stay outside this year. I guess we will just have to hope for the best

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

OK here comes an update ~

1 Seed of Rosebud didn't end up germinating, everything else went perfect. Out of the 13 seedlings in the grow box, 9 have sprouted. In a couple days all of them should be out of the soil, hopefully. The temp in the box was getting a little too high so I went and purchased a fan to keep the air moving. It's staying at a solid 30-33 Celsius now. I will update in a couple days when the plants start showing some real progress!

The cool new fan!!

A batch of RoseBud

Northern Lights

The whole gang (only half of my seeds are germd/planted!)

Looks good!

Why did you put so little substrate in to each cup?

Thanks! Honestly I'm not really sure, is it better to fill the cup as much as possible?

I figured since the inside of the cup was white it would act as a reflective surface towards the plant. Maybe I was just high when I thought of it, but it sort of makes sense, lol.

.....

Not "better" but a little higher up and there will be less of a chance to damage the stem when popping out the plant.
You're OK, just be x-tra careful then popping them out, next time more substrate. And press it down when filling your cups. Make holes in the bottom to give no chance for a vacuum when popping out. I melt mine in to the bottom using a soldering gun.

Strange coincidence, I make my holes in the cups with a soldering iron as well! Some cups I used a lighter though, lol. I see what you mean by damaging the stem, and I will definitely be filling the cups higher on my next batch. Thanks again for the tip Leapfrog

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

When you pop them out make sure they are slightly root bound and the substrate only moist - not wet nor dry. That way everything will stick together better, especially if you have not compressed the substrate before planting.
Turn cup upside down and have plant between index and middle finger. Tap bottom of cup.
Plants should be ready to be popped out when about 4" tall but that can depend on the strain as well.

Some good information there, really appreciate the help. I have experience using dixie cups before so I compressed the soil before the seedlings were dropped in, and wet the soil pretty well. I hope I can transplant each one without harm, I will keep you posted!

Re: Sifika's SUPER OUTDOOR MEGA GROW!! ~ RoseBud / NL #5 / WW / PowerPlant

OK Sooo, finally an update! Most of the plants are on day 7, some are on day 5, and there are 2 plants that are only on day 1. I purchased a couple new strains and traded some of my rosebud plants for some of my friends PowerPlant plants.

The heat is getting way to hot in the tupperware, its sitting at around 33-37 celsius, too hot for my liking. I will be buying another intake fan and putting some holes in the back to cool it off. The plants are on 18/6 and doing well.

The box ~

RoseBud #2 / #3 (Day 7)

Polish Power #3 (Day 2) / Northern Lights #1 (Day 3) / RoseBud (Day 7)

RoseBud #4 / #5 (Day 7)

Polish Power #1 (Day 4)
