Corto Maltese 2009: WW, TW and GG5

What's up everybody!

Well, I finally was able to go dig the first holes of the season last night. Woohoo! I hit some pretty big rocks and I was glad I had my pick ax, gloves, head lamp and eye protection. Spot number 1 is ready to go. I arrived at 11 pm and got back home at 4 am. A lot of hard stealthy work but it should be well worth it in the end. I sampled some of the soil there to test the pH. I met a few old friends: the wild boar and some crazy sounding birds! Haha! There's also a pic of the comfrey that's growing nicely.

It's gonna be great!

Wow that's a full night's work Corto! There's something about rooting in the dirt that satisfies the soul. It's raining cats and dogs in my corner of the world this weekend, so not much will be getting done outdoors. Just wanna be the first to wish you a great 2009 grow season, may the pot gods smile on all your efforts. You deserve the best my great friend.

What strains are you growing this year?I wish i could have carried a pick ax in with me to my holes. You should have seen the blisters i had from digging them all with a garden trowel. Now i'm thinking about moving them over so they will be hidden better.

Re: Corto Maltese 2009: WW, TW and GG5

Yeah Afghan#1, the soil here is super rocky, so I knew a pick ax was necessary. The first 2 holes went really easy to my surprise (a shovel would have sufficed). The 3rd one, at 2:30 am, was going well too when I hit some massive rocks I wasn't able to remove completely. Without the pick ax I couldn't have dug it at all. So the 3rd hole is only 1,5 feet deep (i just dug it wider). We'll see! I'll put a GG in that one (smaller plant).

I'm growing GHS White widow, GHS Train wreck and Green's Guerilla Gold 5. Seeds will be planted in beg. May.

Thanks for stopping by. Good luck to ya!

Re: Corto Maltese 2009: WW, TW and GG5

Thanks Lurkqueen. The boars are pretty cool. They run away noisily with loud grunts but don't attack or anything but they do freak me out at times, you never know. They don't eat mj, not like deer. They live at night so it's normal to run into them. I also like the owls and the night birds, I feel less alone like that. They're my grow buddies!

Nice start Corto, I can see you there in my minds eye with the headlamp and pick axe. If someone saw you, then you could say that you were a lost spelunker. Lol
