Come and share your growing plans for 2012, back garden, greenhouse and guerilla growers welcome.
This is what I have going in this year.
5 Nirvana Swiss cheese
4 female seeds Purple Power
4 female seeds Purple maroc
4 Greenhouse seeds Big Bang automatic
I have started 2 of the big bang autos which are now seedlings. These are going on some common land which has been prepped already.
Because of my location, I am planning on having 6-8 grow sites. Hopefully this will minimize the risk of loosing the whole crop.
photos to follow.

I have just got 5 lowryder 2 seeds and am a complete noob can you give me a hand on how to germinate them the best way for how Long and how to transfer them to soil .... Onelove
Its pretty simple keep it simple. get a plate get some tissue, put a few layers of tissue down put your seeds on the tissue put more tissue over the top and poor some water on the tissues and then wrap a plastic bag around the plate or put a plate of the same size on top. Its really important to keep the seedlings moist because there such a small plant system they dry out quick.

Few tips for you greenthumb, dont over nute, and don't pull then too early. Thats what i learned last year!
All but the marocs are in and up now, sitting in the heated greenhouse.
Purple powers looking a little ill but plently of time to pick up.
swiss cheese were my favorite from last year and they are doing really well, a little stretchy from the window sill but they will calm down now they are in the greenhouse.
keep the posts coming

The first is a mix of Purple Power, Swiss cheese and a free TNT Kush i was given.
the second is 2 of the big bang autos.
Since this was taken I have put them all out in the greenhouse and re potted the big bang auto in the small pot.
Marocs will be going in within the next week.
now have 2 plots prepped ready for two plants each and have found another two plots which will take all the remaining plants.
Now we just have to pray the weather gets better, or they will all have to stay under glass in tiny pots!
More pics will follow once ive taken them and there is significantly more to show you all!

Anyway, tomorrow I will be buying a couple of auto flowering lowryder 2. This will be my first time growing. I shall be doing a guerilla grow, as such, despite it being in my parents land (I live in a rural region and have an acre of land). I will be keeping an eye on this thread, and will post updates myself.

Although I'm not living in the UK, as someone has already said, Ireland and the UK have similiar climates (although im certain where I live is probably the worse climate of all).

Nice to see the Irish on board! Western uk and ireland are really baring the brunt of this shocking spring weather we are having. Is there no chance of a mini greenhouse on your land? This will greatly increase your chances of sucess.

I won't be too dissapointed if my plant(s) die. I will be happy for the experience, and I can come back stronger next season (hopefully).
My main worry comes with the drying/curing, if I get that far (fingers crossed). Doing that outside may be a problem. I have got a few ideas though.

Well Dan, unforunately I don't see that as a possibility. My parents would definitely see a greenhouse on our land, regardless of size. I could do it elsewhere, but the likelihood of other people seeing it would also increase. If I were to do it on common land it would be on a hill, facing south, only problem is that many people walk up it, and a green house would be too easily spotted, and a dead giveaway.

Well at least with autos it will be done quickly. Drying outside might be an issue if you don't get them finished before end of August. But as long as you have a plan I'm sure you will be fine. The first year is always scary but its a learning curve. I can quite honestly say that its really not that difficult to grow especially if the bloody weather would just pick up!

3 of 4 big bang autos are now out in the mini greenhouse in there final pots, not flowering yet but hopefully they will start soon! All 5 Swiss cheese are up and growing well, one went in to the found this morning. She was a little stretched coz of the window sill start so I buried her up to the first set of leaves she's in a good sunny spot in a cold frame with the peas and salad leaves.
Purple powers are still a little sick looking but I think they are on the mend. Tent lush is looking healthy and will be going in a geurilla spot in the next couple of weeks.
Purple marocs are in with a free Jamaican dream and free Jack. One maroc up so far and the Jamaican is following suit. The others seem to be taking a little longer but I have plenty of time for them yet before I start to curse the genetics!
As you can probably tell I'm quite an old school traditional grower the ganja obviously comes first but I love all the rest of my garden veggies and fruit almost as much! I like to think I can mix old school veg growing techniques with some of the stuff I learned from growing the herb last year.
Anyone else got any news?

Well my 4 Big Bang Autos got drowned in this shite weather we've been having, but I just put 1 more and a couple of bag seed out, still got plenty more seeds though.
Man i gutted for ya, i did mention about the rain aye? told you to tarp up:devious: i still got 2 out of 5 left now, fucking stunted but the holes the bbs were in were full of muddy water, ph of that would be totally high, and that would of ended up in my soil for roughly 40days.. made them grow slow as fuck.. and insects didn't help out.
Got super critical out now.

Am germinating and growing seedlings under 100W of cfl.
Forecast for a hot and sunny spell. Just transplanted Lowryder 2 seedling to 7.5L pot. This and two seedlings are basking outdoors at over 30 deg C.
So far so good.
Worried about nutes for veg state. I have Miracle Grow granules, Tomato food and Lawn feed are they of any use?
