July 2012, finally goin organic, better late than never I guess. Hydro has been payin bills in my house for the last four or five years ever since I found Rumples thread and shit was easy and worked. We have been switching food in our house over to organic, homegrown, farmed, hunted or gathered for the last few years and its about time to switch the meds. I am not a complete noob to organics as my veg garden and my mother plants have been organic for the last couple of years. Thge more I have grown hydro the more problems I have encountered and the bud compared to the organic mothers I have flowered has not been near the taste or quality. I will be upgrading equiptment as I go and will be again revamping the room after this run. I have another week or two on my current run and have begun veg on the organic future, heres the summary.
-100% legal Michigan medical grow
-2 ea 600w hps/mh
-1 ea 400w hps
-1 ea 4in vortex fan
-1 ea carbon filter(about 2.5 footer)
-3 ea sour diesel clones
-3 ea kushberry clones ( all clones bought from a new dispensary in town, last clones I will ever buy)
- Starter mix = 1 part worm castings, 1 part perlite, 1 part peat hummus
I have alot to learn and know I am in the right place for that, may the ganja gods bless me.

purple kush take forever, at least that's what I heard and see.
nice to see some plants nice one, if that first picture is your hydro yield, you may find that number tough to beat your first round! what kind of compost and soil amendments do you have at your disposal? Just curious!

Thanks for checkin me out bro, the compost I am using is from my compost pile which consists of mostly rabbit and chicken shit mixed with food scraps, garden clippings and straw. Ammedments I plan on using are worm castings and bat guano. I need to transplant by this weekend so I will be hitting the grow shop tomarrow for supplies.

Thanks for tuning in guys, been busy as shit lately and haven't had time to post much. The compost tea recipe that a couple guys in the organic growing thread helped me modify seems to be working good. Mostly on my veg garden though( that fucker has blown up). I have only done 1 light feeding with the tea and all looks good. I plan on hittin the shop tomarrow for supplies and gettin some work done. I'll post pics on the progress.

Finally got to the shop and got some supplies.Everthing is planted and ready to start filling screen. The kushberry have stretched far more than the sour deisel at this point but I plan on topping the KB soon and hopefully the SD will cath up. The grow shop was out of the pro mix I wanted and talked me into the humbodlt product instaed. And I even used of that old hydro equiptment for a tea brewer, seems to be working good.

hi neighbor! nice setup you have going. may I suggest implementing a drainage system for the plants? In my setup, i suspend a smart pot on a cage, with a drainage tray underneath it. The roots do not leave the smart pot at the bottom because its suspended, and the drainage tray makes it easy to clean up after the plant is well and soaked! It soaks 5 gallons before any run-off appears! I even collect the water from the tray with towels and wring it out over my other plants- I suspect it is worm-enzyme rich because this works great! I can post pictures if you're interested.
