Well after hours and hours of searching last night i finally found a site that sells decent slipknot masks and i will be recieving mine right after i get my christmas money.. check it out and tell me what ya think

well being a huge slipknot fan i already have all their albums but mainly im intrested in the mask so i can wear it at their concert next summer lol. Besides that though until i can find a really good quality mask it will be like a little novelty piece

I used to be a huge knot fan back in the day. Not so much anymore. Anyways, If you are a big fan I would suggest geting their DVD Disasterpiece. Awsome DVD.

If it wasn't for their image they would have nothing. I don't know a person who can't learn an entire song from slipknot in over 40 minutes, yet me and my friends can spend the good part of a month working just on playing a single Clapton song mostly correct. Try playing "Classical Gas" in under a month of working on it all the time. Unlike the crappier bands that needed an image to stay popular like Kiss and Slipknot, Eric Clapton just needed his guitar and any band would would be honored for Clapton to play with them.

are you trying to compare clapton and slipknot?? they don't even belong in the same paragraph, much less the same sentence. clapton is in a league above slipknot, they play music that is meant to be listened to while you're drivin or off doin something, just cool jams, clapton is an excellent musician that makes great music, not just background music

on another note, why you tryin to flame slipknot and their fans, i knew as soon as i saw this thread there was gonna be somebody sayin "slipknot's gay" or something to that extent, if you don't like the band or person in question, just move on, don't feel the need to express your downsided opinion

Fuck slipknot. They are talentless, posers, and suck up to the pop culture. Dont even try to correct me... they write shitty music compared to just about any other metal band out there. And they stole the mask idea from Mushroomhead (who started in the early 90s... long before slipshit was even a sparkle in anyones eyes).

well they do suck, they are sellouts not really hardcore, kick out original singer to get a new singer write as they get big, pretty lame in my book they arnt even that good but its all opinion

I think the mask is pretty cool myself

As far as Slipknot being any good or not... I didnt gain any respect for Slipknot till I listened to Stone Sour's album, and whether you like the bands or not, Corey has one of the most amazing singing voices in Metal today, just second to Maynard himself. Also, despite whether you like the band or not, both of the guitarists are actually very talented. Maybe it takes 40 minutes to learn the main riffs, but their solos are pretty impressive. Classical Gas was the 2nd guitar song I learned by the way... Also they do a lot better at incorperating melody (refering to Stone Sour and Slipknot's newest album, not their first two) than just about any other metal band out there right now. And I like the lyrics on their newest album. As for them being sellouts... everyone's a sellout these days. Metallica sold out, but that doesnt make Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightening anything short of masterpieces. Even if you think Slipknot is just a sold out gimick band, you should at least give props where they're due.

and they stole the mask idea from Kiss (who started in the early 70's), even longer then the time elapsed between Slipknot and Mushroomhead, Kiss was first and the act they made on stage was probably the only thing keeping them arround. Alice Cooper also needed his act on stage to keep an audience becasue his music wasn't up to par with what everyone else famous was playing.

Atleast some bands can just go out their in their regular clothes (not regular but not extreme) and just stand arround and play awsome music and keep an audience entertained.
