Lightbulb Grateful Dead - Reckoning
Whats up? Only been listenin' to the grateful dead for a little over 2yrs now but have become extremely attatched to them. To the point they are pretty much the only thing I listen to. I can just get into every song and sometimes even relate. Its sucks I was born too late. Anyway, the other day was feelin' a little on the lowside. Yeah, life sucks sometimes, but oh well. Decided to go for a mountain ride and smoke a blunt. Throw in the album "Reckoning" and the fact it was actually an awesome day out, the ride ended up turning my day around. I come to realize how much i love that album. Europe '72 and Blues for Allah still my favorites though. It just moved me in someway id ont know. I'm always lookin' for more listenin' suggestions, so fill me in. thanks. keep truckin' on.

Reckoning is a good listen. I'm enjoying Terrapin Station myself. A fat j of some purple kush and this cd will definitely put you in the right mood

Yes, music is wonderful!

It affects your emotions very powerfully. And cannabis makes music even better.
Op, i know what you mean when you say that you feel specially attached to a certain album.

plus, greatful dead is always a win imo.

Reckoning and Dead Set were the two albums that really got me into the Dead. I second archive.org. Be careful, it can be a tad addictive.

ohh haha, one time when i was baked as hell i turned on touch of grey and actually started crying.

If you want a ridiculous live recording from the Dead check out Steppin' Out with Grateful Dead '72 or live from cow palace '76. Or anything from 72-74 which is their best years IMHO

Yes...one of the best shows ever. I love when the microphone feeds back at the beginning of 'Bertha' and they all go 'Hee hee!" 'Big River' is tight, 'Eyes of the World' is great...just awesome

The next night, 1977-05-08 is even more legendary for its 'Scarlet/Fire' as I'm sure most of us are well aware

The Internet Archive is one of the best websites on the Internet and a good deal of its awesomeness is owed to their vast, vast Grateful Dead live archives

sux they don't allow soundboard downloads anymore.. but it's still full of awesomeness.
