Who here listens to Dubstep?

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by Synergy, Jul 3, 2009.

  1. With it still being an emerging genre, it has yet to pick up a humongous fanbase, but I assure you if you like smoking and listening to chill/deep basslines dubstep is the way to go. I have yet to meet someone that didn't thoroughly enjoy this style of music.

    Datsik - best dubstep artist ever imo.

    Another amazing datsik song with duke nuke 'em sound bytes :cool:

    Best dubstep rap song ever. Extremely addicting!

  2. woop woop!

  3. Just needs and MC and you have some UK garage.

  4. Headphones or a nice system are a must when listening to this! :D

    Tell me what you think GC

  5. "so what do you think?"
    The man leaned back in his chair and let out a slow sigh, still thumbing through the money. "Theres a considerable amount of risk being taken, not to mention the paper work that has to be done. But fuck it, lets go to Denmark."

  6. DUBSTEP IS DOPE! Best music to listen to while rollin', Rusko in particular.

  7. True that. If you're not at least listening to the songs up there, then you're missing out on some incredible smoking music. THE BEST.

  8. Just searched and didn't realize a few dubstep threads have been made in the past. My bad, still listen if you haven't got the chance to yet.

  9. I was unfamiliar with this genre until this thread. Thanks for revealing some great toking music.

  10. dubstep is some greattttt blazing music, i love it:smoke:

  11. that shit it is fuckin tight.i think it might spread like wild fire :eek::bongin::bongin::bongin::bongin:

  12. Yooo where's evilpig?? He needs to post some dope mixes again...
    But I love dubstep, my favorite artist would probably be Burial. The entire genre is great in any circumstance.

  13. No problem. Glad you appreciate it the same way I do. Anyone else, feel free to post some good dubstep youtube vids since I'm trying to find as much good music as possible.

    Thanks in advance :smoke:

    lets hope it doesnt, i hate when shit blows up.:mad:

    but anyways, ive been listening to dubstep for a while now, its my favorite kind of electro, next to fidget.

    but heres a few cool tracks that ive been listening to.
    (props on the guy who posted that remix from chasing shadows)

    first is a track from AC Slater, hes more into making fidgety tracks but hes a fucking genius at making dubstep too.
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LFCj6Y-h4s"]YouTube - AC Slater - Calm Down[/ame]

    next is a remix from DZ one of my favorite dubstep producers, this song is fucking dirty as hell.
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVgck6VegVk"]YouTube - Major Lazer - Hold The Line (DZ RMX)[/ame]

    ...and one more from DZ
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsTJ_T1cnZU"]YouTube - DZ - Down[/ame]

    All Time Favorite Dubstep Producer! Stagga!
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqq6T4eqSdE"]YouTube - Stagga - Timewarp Dub [HQ][/ame]

    This next one is from 16bit, these guys (DRT and kidnappa i believe) make the most filthy nasty fucking dubstep ever. their music is so fucking heavy.
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofS1S_JDLLc"]YouTube - 16Bit - Chainsaw Calligraphy[/ame]

    GIVE ME COOKIES!!!!
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Xj-x-et_0"]YouTube - Cookie Monsta - Frontline[/ame]

    well i hope you all give these tracks a listen and i hope you all enjoy them as much as i do!
    the only downside is these tracks from youtube are really low quality, the only one that is high quality is the one from stagga.
    Cheers :smoke:

  16. I'm not a huge fan of the genre as a whole, but I do have some producers I respect, like Noisia, Nero Skream..

    Some good talent coming out of New Zealand as well, check out Optimus Gryme:
