Any jam music fans?

Is there anybody who likes to listen to jam/improg. It's so crazy to listen to Phish or Umphrey's McGee, especially stoned. If anybody likes this style, tell me what bands you listen to so that I may expand my horizons.

I dont listen to either of them, but I do listen to Dave Matthews, who I've been heard called a "jam band" many times. They're very good, in both music writing and musical performance/skill, and have done many cover songs better (imo) than the original band.

Love jam bands. Went to over 60 jam concerts last year alone.

But this forum is for seasoned tokers to talk about marijuana.

Please post any threads pertaining to Music in the "Music Hall" forum

I loathe this misconception.

Just because you play a lot of live shows does not make you jam. Jamming requires improvisation and exploration...

You can listen to two DMB songs a decade apart and they will sound the same.
