So last night, I'm lying in bed trying to get to sleep, and it's 2 am. I went to bed at 1230, but I can't fall asleep, and I have no weed to knock me out. So I grab my ipod and turn on one of the most relaxed songs I have, There There by Radiohead. I close my eyes, and I start seeing shit. And I know I'm tripping, and I even thought to myself "I'm gonna make a thread about this on gc", so it wasn't like I was sleeping. I was just in a totally different world. What the fuck just happened? Can you trip while completely sober?

^Can't remember a whole lot... I think the desert was there for part of the time and a dragon maybe, but I don't remember much of the details. And it only lasted 4 or 5 minutes

delta waves transitioning into dream-sleep....mild hallucinations are not only common during this time but they are the textbook event of this stage in the sleep cycle...it's easier to refer to it as the time between dreaming and waking life...the processes of your mind are transitioning from external perceptions (waking life) to internal (dreaming) so your sensory perceptions change drastically and you hallucinate
