I love drum and bass, the old pendulem was awesome. the new "propane nightmares" just seems like a feeble attempt to recreate the "slam" magic

Drum and bass has qucikly become my favorite type of music. I'm into Plug, A Guy Called Gerald, 4Hero, Photek, Boomish, LTJ Bukem, Nerve, Roni Size, Goldie, Omni Trio, and many others.

I highly agree. That new album was a huge disappointment. Hold Your Color was the shit!

yeh well i wouldnt agree about pendulum. Yes hold your colour was a good album, but they are far too mainstream for my liking, and they produce the shit drum and bass which isnt even really drum and bass. I would like a youtube vid but i dont know how to so ill leave you a link!

I know what your talking about. I can't listen to electronic dance music stoned- unless it's trance (and i will not bring my self down to that level)

HMM garage+DNB= . I've never hear that done before...
anyways I love raves, but since im from the states i only have the opportunity to go to to like one or two every few months, and its like a few hundred kids rather a few thousand. So the ravers i go out with aren't clubbers (thank god) but real ravers.

This is a great thread! I started getting into drum and bass ever since I started going to raves. It's like a badass mixup of several genres. I've been looking to get some direction for music to download so this thread is helping me with that bigtime.

Drum and bass is actually more frequently used when referring to a genre of electronic music now.. rather than actual drum set and bass player


I don't see how some of you don't like listening to electronic music stoned. My favorite music is The Flashbulb and Boards of Canada when I'm stoned. Especially Boards of Canada.
I've actually got Reason 4, just waiting for a Oxygen x2 to come in then I'll be able to start making my own EM I'll be sure to post about it on here when I do.
