for me it depends on the kind of lifting im doing, if im doing high weight low reps i listen to something that will pump me up, if im running or doing low weight high reps i can listen to the same stuff or just something that has a steady beat

pump up music-
breaking benjamin
millencolin (especially the song "no cigar" you prolly remember this one )
nine inch nails
isaac figgs
pendulum
some red hot chili peppers
any song that means something to me
random songs here and there such as-
