The Voodoo Bass Project

Presenting, the Voodoo Bass. My first bass, or instrument for that matter, that I have built with my very hands. The body is brazialian mahogany and imbuia burl. The body is FROM and luthiered into the shape in Brazil. I ordered the body off eBay. The neck, pickups(which I'm putting on as soon as I get a soldering iron) and knobs are from eBay as well. Everything else (tuners, bridge, pickguard, control plate and all the screws) is from Stewmac.com. You can't tell in the pics, but some parts aren't EXACTLY proffesionally done, this being my first experience in building an instrument. But overall I am extremely happy. Plays like a wet dream.

It turns out that the knobs are too big. They are too close together so they get in the way of each other. I'll probably order some simple black knobs when I order my soldering iron and pickups. I was thinking emg's as well.

Guess I'll just have to build another instrument to fit those knobs!!! This is my new hobby.
