Atmosphere/Living Legends are probably some of my favorite underground groups, I've seen them live several times, good shows. suzanne vega is definitely an under rated song, I usually open the last.fm client and listen to the living legends station during a sesh, a nice variety of artists who are related to the same scene.

that shroom song sucks balls. I honestly don't know what the big hype is about atmosphere. He's decent, but people talk about him like he shits golden mcnuggets. I think the only reason people listen to him is because he's the "biggest" underground rapper, so they can drop his name in a conversation. If you wanna hear a rap song about shrooms check out shroomz by xzibit. Talks about a whole trip, not just the comeup lol. I don't mean to be rude.

if you like atmosphere, check out dynospectrum. its what slug was up to before he got started with ant. my favorites are "abusing of the rib", "love life", "if i was santa claus", "trailer park chicken" and loads of others. also, check out felt. its murs from living legends and slug and they do a few sick songs like "hot bars" and "i hate your boyfriend."

You kidding me? There's tons of undergorund rappers that are just as/more well known than slug. Just by the way you talk I can tell you haven't listened to much of his shit, his best songs are the ones that are hardes tto find. Either way, he has some crazy metaphors and always spits with meaning. I listen to him because he's good, not because i'm some guy trying to fit in. And xzibit is ok, some of his old shits pretty good, but he's a fucking sell out. Atleast Slug stays true.
