This is a performance by dizzee rascal live at the Mercury Awards where he won his second prize for his album "Math's and English" and previously, his debut ablum "Boy in Da Corner"

Dizzee is my favorite rapper. he grew up in the area i lived in the UK. he raps about life in the UK but this song is a specially arranged liver performance for the awards. all the musicians are playing live, and its incredible. I highly suggest all 3 albums:

yea. hes from london, england, he speaks mainly in slang, which for the most part i used to speak to.

butters - ugly
batty - ass, or if reffering to someone as "a batty" - gay

the genre is called grime and mainly features fast, slang filled lyrics and crazy beats. dizzee is the king of grime and this shit should be way more popular in the states, he just needs more exposure. he fuckin rocks.

I fucking love Dizzee Rascal. Got the album Boy in Da Corner....the beats and the bass are so raw and tight. Fucking love that stuff. It's true that he needs more exposure.

its also true you AT LEAST need to get maths and english, if you thought boy in da corner was good, M+E is fuckin brilliant. no wonder he won a mercury prize for both albums.

'fix up look sharp' is on heavy rotate on my itunes, but i havent listened to much of his other stuff. will check it out tho
