DMB is in my top five fave groups. it was one of the first bands i acan remember listening to when i was younger.dave is probably the reason i play guitar ever since i watched Listener Supported on vhs. fuckin amazing show.

i cant see why other people dont dig em either. there shit sounds so good. every band memberis sooooo talented. i was never that crazy fo the Everyday album though. Before these crowded streets, crash, live at luther college. great shit.

are you serious?

edit cuz i dont think people understand: every fucking show is the exact same.

ive been to two shows, only cuz some scoozy bought my ticket and i knew id get laid for going.

all of his "jams" are the exact fucking same.

download a live song from archive.org from 5 years ago and listen to the "jam" part.

now listen to the same live song from a recent concert.

its the same fucking jam, note for note.

no improv, no spontaniety.

oh and he only has three songs that he plays for encore. THREE. thats fucking lame.

you know what i like best about dave matthews?

tim reynolds.

this is just false....there are not many bands that you can follow every show of the tour and get a different setlist everynight.

as far as the three song encore...thats not true either last tour alone he has more then 10 different songs that he would play in the encore

DMB is a total cop out. Some of the corniest stuff I've ever heard. Their jams are extremely boring and untalented. I agree with Scooby....

A lot of jam bands just don't have the language or stamina to be able to jam for long periods. Jazz musicians can, because we're trained to be able to take chorus after chorus. When I go see Wayne Krantz or Robert Glasper's Experiment, they play 30 min jams that EVOLVE. They just don't stay on D dorian for 25 minutes. Fuck that.

Listen to this if you want to hear what a jam consisting of talented musicians sounds like.

Wayne Krantz - Guitar
Tim Lefebvre - Bass
Keith Carlock - Drums

whoa whoa whoa. stating your opinion about the band is all fine and good, in fact i have no problem with it. but when you start to say that theres no talent, your beginning to speak about facts. talent is measurable. if you think theres no talent in DMB, you need you ears examined. look at the musicians in that band. they are all well acomplished.

and as far as them sounding the same......are you higher than normal? idk how many songs ive heard from various live albums that all sound different. even the band knows they cant play the same exact thin all the time (too bad linkin park dint figure that out).

DMB is legend. most people think they're just an outdated college rock band.

all you haters apparently have a very warped view of what "good" music is.

Yes. Corny is precisely the term.

Let's go listen to some DMB while we play hackeysack on the quad with our Teva sandals and Abercrombie & Fitch longsleeved open-stitched crew neck henley shirts.
