Down Tempo.

I've been on this crazy down tempo electrionica binge lately. I would describe the music as a mix up with hip hop beats, jazz and often some raggae/dub. DJ Shadow has always been amazing but I've ventured off to new artists such as DJ Krush, DJ spooky, Jazzanova, UNKLE, Boards of Canada, the Octopus project, thievery corp and sofa surfers.

With a good sound system its almost better than an orgasm.

Anyone have any other artist i should check out?

classic, also check out DJ Cam (underground vibes), Future Sound of London (lifeforms), The Orb (early albums), some RJD2, possible a lil Shpongle. Underworld is some chill shit as well- they can get a bit intense at times but I always used to blaze listening to dubnobasswithmyheadman.

Octopus Projcet are awesome! I'm guessing you have the CD 'One Ten Hundred Thousand Million?'

Check out, "The House of Apples and Eyeballs' (Spiracle and Lollipopsicle) and EERRRRAAASSSEEE BBBBAAACCCKKK off of 'Foam Party.'

And I just recently discovered Boards of Canada a couple months back. They're very chill and fun to smoke to at night. Very relaxing, they're on my wish list for live acts.
Thievery Corporation is fun too, Originality is my favorite song by them along with Warning Shots live at ACL.

Good choices, + rep..

this might be more of an acquired taste, but brian eno is fucking siiiiick. there's this cool album brian eno and david byrne (talking heads) did called 'my life in the bush of ghosts' that was i think the first entirely sampled album, done on TAPE reels (pre-digital). very trippy stuff. also ulrich schnauss, if a slightly androgynous ambien trip isn't totally unappealing
