"The new Wu-Tang album is bullshit" - Ghostface

As the day nears for the highly anticipated Wu-Tang reunion album, the controversy behind the making of the album is reaching all time highs. After Raekwon sounded off on his distaste for 8 Diagrams and RZA defended his production shortly after, Ghostface had now opened up and called the album "bullshit." In a recent interview with MTV, Ghost laid his cards on the table unapologetically.
"I feel that the new Wu Tang album is bullshit...real bullshit," Ghost laments as he places all the blame on RZA. "It's not really our fault. RZA chose a certain selection of beats and wanted brothers to get busy off of that. Nobody else makes beats so that's gotta come from him."
"To be so highly anticipated, he shoulda waited and came with the mega bomb and did it right," he continues.
Ghost even acknowledges that there could have been some use for outside producers but RZA wasn't having it. "With RZA he wants everything for himself. We told him he could bring other people in," he says. "He could get a beat from Pharrell or Kanye West or whatever but he just likes to do shit for himself. If a ***** did try to bring a beat in he'd try to co-produce it and fuck up a ***** track adding other shit that didn't need to be added and that's disrespectful."
But in the end, Ghost concedes there was nothing he, or anyone else, could do to save the project.
"It ain't like nobody tried that before to bring some shit to the table. But this is a voting thing. You get outvoted," he says dismissively. "That's why the last 3 or 4 Wu albums were bullshit."
Is 8 Diagrams really "bullshit"? Judge for yourself on December 11th.

What the fuck? I am listening to it right now. This album is REALLY fucking good imo. Honestly if RZA leaves, then Wu is done as far as I'm concerned. I like Raekwon and GFK but RZA and GZA are the heart of it so if he does leave then I'm sure some of the other members will keep doing shit together.

There are some really chill tracks for sure. I just finished downloading so far it is pretty dope. The WU-TANG a'int bullshit so it is hard for me to understand what Ghostface means by that. The beats, yeah they could be more memorable, but Wu-Tang was never really know for their musicality and production skills, they are know for their amazing lyricism and flows, you just can't beat in that respect.

I thought that a lot of the beats are way diff. from their other shit but are really really good as well. And RZA is def. known for his production technique.

They were really disappointing live at Rock the Bells, NYC this past summer. They were not on point, except for Method Man, I was bored.

I agree with you on this but it wouldn't be the same wu-tang w/o rza beats. Ever since the Indy culture LP The Wu has gone downhill..... Ghostface's "The Fishscale" wasn't that good. I would like to hear Gza's take on this.

ghost's new joint isnt that great either ("big doe rehab") 8 diagrams is fire from wu. Ghost and rae can suck a dick...sure raek made cuban linx, but wheres two? and ghostface puts out way too much material to be talking bout waitin to do shit right.
