This section of the city gets almost no attention, and it upsets me.
Sgt Peppers is by far my favourite album. As for my favourite song I would say A Day in the Life, but the song itself is much more wonderful if you listen to the early studio verson. Where John is giving orders and everyones warming up (see The Beatles: LOVE version), it nearly brings a tear to my eye. To me it brings to earth how mortal the fab four were, and how great they were in their own right. John even acts like his joking self and counts the song in by saying Sugarplum Fairy, sugarplum fairy. A beatiful song, from a beautiful album, from probably the greatest band of all time.
