Its not traditional jazz, but Mike Stern played with Steps Ahead for a while and not to mention the Mike Stern Band. He plays a lot with Michael Brecker and Bob Berg(well, played now..). Jim Hall was a fantastic older jazz guitarist. Umm... Pat Metheny played some good jazz. I can't think of a lot of guitar-oriented stuff specifically. If bass counts Jaco Pastorius and Marcus Miller have some fantastic stuff out there. Jaco pioneered the modern electric bass sound. I'm not really familiar with many guitarists. To copy a list on another site... Bill Frisell, Charlie Christian, George Benson, George Van Eps, Grant Green, John Mclaughlin, Joe Pass, John Scofield, Kenny Burrell, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Pat Martino, Tal Farlow, and Wes Montgomery. Should be a good start.

That should be a good start, I'm running out of guys off the top of my head. I tried to go in semi chronological order at first but I quickly got lazy. Yeah, the list is heavily biased towards saxophone but thats a reflection of what I listen to..
Re: the Bad Plus, I saw them live in Vancouver before a Joshua Redman show, they were pretty hot.
