Gathering of the Vibes '07, BPT, CT..

Hey all GCers..... my personal favorite festie is coming back to my hometown! Bridgeport, CT!! although i have since moved to the next town over, I feel an obligation to get the Vibes as big as it can be.....

Last time they were in CT they fuckin rocked it... this year we got Weir & Ratdog back to fuck shit up.... of course you got Keller, Deep Banana, Strangefolk and fuckin Goerge Clinton and the Parliment Funkadelic. that alone is enough for me to go...... but there are like 20 other rockin bands. Including 2 of my favorites, Zero, and Chuch.

IS anyone planning on going, or better yet, have a ticket already?? Who knows if it will come to fruition but, i think all gcers should get together for a heavy session sometime over the weekend.

hellz yea the line-up is nice.... if u live close by u should go to the GOTV site and sign up to volunteer.... if they pick u, u get in free and i think get a VIP pass.... check out the forum...

i did it a few times.... one year i handed out wrist bands and directed heads thru the 4-8 hour bullshit car line, once i picked up trash (not the best), and last time i worked in the art tent.... which was awesome cuz i got a lot of alex grey autographed works for 30% off

Yea and I missed Bonnaroo too which was pretty sad, my friends had an awesome time, but I'm going to the 10,000 Lakes Festival on my birthday so that'll be a badass way to turn 20 Completely fucking outta my mind lol

i live in stratford and my pops lives in milford. i live right acroos from flood middle school if anyone knows where that is. north end of stratford.... right near sikorsky and oronoque country club.

a GC sessoin should definatly be arranged. i cant figure out if i wanna camp this year. if i lean back far enough i could practically piss all over seaside from my back yard. stayin at my place would save a lot of hassle. but campin is half the fun.... on the other hand, i'll have a nice air conditioned house to bring back some sexy honnies too

i've never been to 10000 lakes.... although i wanted too. been to bonnaroo once 2 years ago. i go to the vibes and camp creek every year. camp creek is presented by terrapin too, same as the vibes. camp creek is at indian lookout country club mariaville, ny ....about 25 mins from albany.


i've also hit up garden of eden and strange creek the last 2 years. both key festies. a little smaller than the vibes... but its put on by wormtown, which (i think) is either owned/run or created by the guys from strangefolk.

hell yea..... i saw colonel claypool's fearless flying frog brigade when the vibes was in CT last time... 2000 i think.... 2 years before the lightning and thunder at red hook.... for those of u who've gone vibin for a few years.

i'm goin, but i wanna kno, do they actually search your car upon arrival....and if they do, how good do they search ur car......would i be able to sneak some shit into the festival......if they do a detailed search ill prob try to find some shit there, i dont wanna get busted before the festival starts.

they do search every car upon arival. but its more for kegs and fireworks and mass amounts of drugs. you could get away with whatever in your pocket. actually, they searched me better on the way out last year (on a saturday... not sunday) because at the time i was leaving there was a child missing. it was raining and i had a tarp pulled over the shit in the bed of my pick-up and they fuckin bored through everything, fuckin everything up. not that thats gonna happen again.... just fyi

the searches take forever though... get there at an early hour on friday or else u'll be waiting for 5+ hours. i left CT last year around 7 a.m. for mariahville NY (last years vibes) and by the time i got there there was a car line wrapped around a lot for ever. it took me 8 hours from pulling into the lot until i actually got to wear i was campin.

however, if u are worried... u can find anything u need (drugwise) there. i usually only bring a little bit of bud for the ride and the wait.... then i get headies there. id much rather get it from someone willing to ruin THEIR weekend. not mine. plus, one big reason to go te festies is to sample the bud from the region.... and any other drug.
