I agree with you, they're a great band when it comes to music. I'm a drummer, I personally find 311's drummer light years ahead of sublimes but thats mho. The reason I dont like long beach dub all stars is because the lyrics are gone. Brad was a twisted dude, and his lyrics are missed. Also, I noted that mainstream fame didn't happen for sublime until after Brad OD'ed, thats just a fact. I'm not picking on them, but dont compare them(sub/311, not lbda- that came outta left). I didn't mean to yell and stuff, we all know it just happens sometimes.

and eye, I agree with you, it's a well-known fact that Sublime blasted off after Bradley's death, but it's my opinion that this happened only because of how much dedicated, local support they had before his death, n'ahmean?

I had a friend once who claimed to be a former member of the band, before they made it big. His name was Jimmy Watson! I met him at a moving company I used to work for...any chance he was telling me the truth? I know very little about the band except that he told me the story of the name, and did in fact claim to be the guy who was responsible for it. Did he ever play with the group, or was he exaggerating?

no idea....i'm not THAT big a fan... just started getting into their stuff a few years ago and was past the age of having to know everything about the bands i liked.... sure wiki could set you straight... or google

Right On, thanks for the watson confirmation! I didn't see why anyone would make it up, but for some reason I thought I'd ask. He gave me a CD he was working on, a solo project, then he moved and I lost touch with him. Cool ass dude, and a very funny story of the naming.

Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
