The Wicked List

Greetings, I will be your personal guide on the tour of the wickedlist.

I propose that here on our humble little smokeshop that is Grasscity, we make a list of the absolute best songs...EVER! The songs that some grew up listening and never forgot... the songs that were made 35 years ago and still get played on the radio thousands of times in one day just in the US. The songs made possible by some of the most brilliant meetings of musicians in time since a chord was first strummed on a guitar. Of course, my guess is the list will be mostly from music spawned in 'devils music' that is rock and roll, where if'n you ask me, started it's true form in the 50s. But I don't care, it is not for me to decide.

I think that everyone should add to this list. I don't you to list your favourite song... I want you blades to list the songs that are in a way part of your life, even if they arent in your cd player 24 hours a day. Just the most legendary songs. Let me try to explain better... think of what Smoke on the Water is to the beginning guitar player. That most essential first riff that keeps it all going. Well think of the legendary songs that if they weren't there, you wouldn't listen to music for. The ones that are so epic it's almost turned them in to cliches. The ones that in some way or another made it possible for half of everything you hear today in music possible, both industry wise and as far as inspiring kids to pick up an instrument and play, just so they could have their shot at making a song like that.

Just put those songs... I don't care how many you list. I know it just sounds more like rambling than explaining, but maybe when you hear my wicked list you'll get an idea of what kind of songs I'm talking about.

One more thing; This is not a ranking thread. We're not ranking which song was the greatest ever, or whos posting better songs, or bashing on what other people are posting (unless it's just rediculous lol...) Even your own lists shouldn't be ranked or said in a certain order... just say them. The songs that are incomparable to eachother because there just to good to even classify. It should just be standard procedure that the songs have a fair deal of talent behind them. The genre is irrelivant, but a good way to think are 'songs that defined genres' when those stupid people on vh1 refer to it.

The goal of this really in the end is just so stoners can come look up bunch of hopefully good tunes, so he never is without sonic vibrations at the smoking circle (if hes ninja enough to use mp3s... and certain programs ). Like the ultimate mix-tape.
So start fuckin' posting your lists, you lazy bums! *waves threatening fists*
