Rust In Peace - the best metal album ever?

I'm all blazed right now and listening to Rust in Peace. I cannot think of another album I have heard that exhibits such jaw dropping musical talent and such amazingly precise playing. Dave mustaine is OK, but this album would have sucked without Marty Friedman, who does all the amazing solos. That guy is probably the best 80's shredder. Him and Alex Skolnick of Testament should hook up and form an amazing band.

Sorry about the pointless post, I'm real blazed and this album rules.

TAKE NO PRISONERS - TAKE NO SHIT.

Rust in Peace is a classic, no doubt about that. That albums has some of the most incredible metal songs ever created, such as Five Magics and my fav. Tornado of Souls!

But I wouldnt call it the best album ever. That would probably have to go to Morbid Angels- Covenant, or Dissections- Storm Of The Lights Bane, or Deaths- Individual Thought Patterns. Actually theyres just so many great albums to name.

R.I.P. is an incredible album, no denying that, but not the best.

Although im also a Marty Friedman fanboy.

It's a really good album, but it can't be considered the best metal album ever by any means. There's so many types of metal and so many good bands that have made such great albums, that there'd have to be some type of huge poll to really figure out who majority feels is the best metal album period.

Yeah, that's true. Metal is a verydiverse genre, you can't just say "this is the best metal album ever". There's a huge difference between powermetal and goth metal... or between unique artists such as opeth and mediocre new metal bands...

Marty friedman is awesome. Tornado of souls is probably one of my favorites on that album.

it might very well be one of the greatest metal "guitar" albums ever made
id put it in the same level as painkiller.

and ya, noone compares to marty. he put the "mega" in megadeth.
mustaines ok, hes just been trying to compete with his arch nemesis metallica all his life.
without friedman, deth sux! (but i cant be unfair...mustaine rules too, but honestly, he sucks without marty.)

i know this is an old thread. im a big deth fan so i had to add me comment.

Don't break the oath

Don't tell King Diamond that he's not in your playlist.
