Hey can you recommend me some good songs/artists for tripping or smoking? I listen to stuff like the who, the doors, neil young, beatles, syd barrett, electric wizard, jimi hendrix, santana, eagles..etc. im not really a techno fan.

  2. Yo man, get into late 60's/early 70's cult psych guys. They are the fucking bomb.

Black Widow (Their shit is crazy. And no I'm not a satanist.)
Can (For mushroom tripping in particular listen to "Mushroom")
    Xhol Caravan
    Iron Butterfly

If you dig any of those let me know and I'll find some more stuff for you (don't feel like digging in the crates right now though considering most the stuff I have is really forgotten niche stuff not to many people are gonna be on to). Hopefully enjoy though man. :smoke:

  3. lol i got a whole playlist on my ipod just for when im trippin (lol ya i always make sure to have my ipod with me when im trippin so i can listen to the music i wanna litsen to lol).

    this is it by bands:

    alice in chains - rooster
    Beatles
    The doors
FC Kahuna - Hayling (i highly suggest this song for trippin...its great)
    Jimi hendrix
    Zeppelin
    Nine Inch Nails - closer
Phil collins - In the air tonite
    Pink floyd (obviously)
    Radiohead - Paranoid android
    RHCP
    Slightly Stoopid
    Soundgarden
    Sublime
    Tool - Schism

all the bands with no songs next to it are bands with obvious trippin songs or i just have too many songs for tht band to type out lol

  4. Blind Melon. Not from that era, but they have the sound.

  5. yo check out he album S.F. Sorrow (1968) by The Pretty Things. Its a great concept album, and they have some serious skill.

in my opinion, concept albums are the best to trip to because they take you on a trip.

  6. Spark up a joint and go listen to Boris. They're not quite like the bands you described, but their music is highly psychadelic and very trippy. Boris is more of a metal band than a rock band really.

Still, my recommendation would be to give their album "Flood" a listen. It's grand. :smoke:

  7. This is going to be a little weird but you might dig it. Check out starfucker they have one real good song check it out.

  8. try out some Animal Collective, they are like.. today's psychedelic

  9. I don't know if this would be a little much for your taste but check out the band Tera Melos.
They're a three piece from cali and it's all instrumental. real trippy.
If you go to teramelos.bandcamp.com, you can hear and download all their music for free.
It's good to listen to the albums in their entirety in stead of just random songs; they make a little more sense that way.

  10. Aerosmith for sure will rock you out! Satriani, THE EAGLES (now that's the shit! -- some of those harmonies will trip you out. they're educated musicians who put together a lot of effort, not only random jam sessions, so for sure it'll make you appreciate music more ;))

  11. i personally like Clutch there modern day but they are real good

  12. Well I have to recommend the Grateful Dead, which to me is the quintessential tripping music. I once listened to Johnny Cash while tripping and it put my in about the best mood ever and if all else fails, the Beatles should do the trick.
