94 to 96 were the best years for hip hop of all time.

2011 definitely wasn't bad though, i'm not complaining.

Couldn't we have kept this nonsense into one of the hundred threads we already have? Reporting now.

NOOOOOOOOO WAAAYYYYY DUUUDDDEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rap before 2000>Rap after 2000

I'd say the best year for rap was 1994 (biggie and Nas debut plus Wu-tang just a year before)

I will say this most of my favorite artists dropped somethin. If it was any good or not is another story. But if u rele think bout it for a while the decline of sales really damaged hip hop. Now once that big shock was absorbed and we realized as a culture sales does not equal talent, we're a lot better off.

Hell I liked '09 better than '11.

To me the mid 90's were probably the best but I don't really like comparing years because it all has good stuff. But '09 was a good year for me period so I guess i liked that year

So many predictable, cliche comments.

So many of you are stuck in the past and are being narrow minded.

The 1920s had the best rap. Anything after was weak
