Men Who Stare at Goats

I'm about to go see Men Who Stare at Goats, in a local theater. I've heard mixed reviews about the movie, but the premise of the film definitely interests me enough for me to spend my money to watch it. It currently has a 59% rating on RottenTomatoes.

Personally I feel the movie will be a general comedy film. It will have quirky moments throughout and a predominantly entertaining plot.

Has anyone seen the movie?

Was watching a movie review show earlier due to nothing else being on and both reviewers actually said "Skip It". I was quite shocked considering the cast alone should be enough reason to see this movie. Fortunately I never listen to reviews and still am looking forward to seeing it. Looks hilarious.

When somebody critiques something you would basically have to see a list of what they reviewed in the past to get a generalized idea of what this single person likes and dislikes. From that point you just interpret what they say into what your interests may be. Of course a critic might look like an ass to you, not everyone has the same views. But I will agree that most critics are just ego inflated ass-hats.

I just saw this movie tonight. It could have been so much better. Some of the funniest parts of the movie were shown in the trailers. Jeff Bridges was definitely my favorite character, and I thought some of the messages suggested throughout the film were great. Unfortunately I felt the movie dragged itself on and really wasn't as funny as I had hoped. I wish I had waited to rent this film.

Saw the movie with my girl a few days ago and we both thought it was pretty lame. I used to do acid a lot so I could relate to a lot of the stuff in the movie, but I still didn't find a lot of the humor funny. The whole movie was just too ridiculous. I would give it a 4.5/10

Too each their own. I thought it tried WAY too hard to be funny, and basically just used acid to make it seam more "random". Like I said. I didn't like it, and I could tell most people in the theater didn't like it.

It wasn't just about being a comedy. there was a real message there. The world does need the new "Jedi". It's not about being psychic, it's about not fighting, having a laugh, enjoying life and helping others.

I loved it.
