Favorite Acid/Tripping Movie

Did a search. Found nothing. If a thread like this is already around let mine die.

Anyways, everyone has their favorite stoner film, or drug crime film. But do you have a favorite acid (or any psychadelic, for those who havnt tried doses)?

My new favorite has got to be Waking Life. It's filmed with rotoscoping (the kind of animation used in A Scanner Darkly).

The film is about a character who is stuck in a constant state of lucid dreaming. It discusses many philosophical ideas and political ideaologies. It's fucking brilliant. This film is intelligent, genius I think. Very trippy, it just blows my mind. It's also critically acclaimed, though relatively unknown. I highly recommend you look it up, and definitely watch it while tripping.

The best part about it is how it's so trippy and insightful, yet not menacing at all. I've seen many a bad trip happen during The Wall or 2001, but Waking Life is perfect.

Any other tripping favorites to share?

Re: Favorite Acid/Tripping Movie

movie about tripping or movie to watch while tripping?

a scanner darkly was pretty messed up, in a good way and crazy way. i havent watched waking life all the way yet

so far ive only watched dazed and confused while on lucy. damn good movie, things goin on in it gave me a ton of introspective concepts to think about.

movies about rolling: Rolling, great movie i really recommend it. Groove is another good one. A Midsummer's Night Rave is alright.

i am just about to watch Across the Universe, a movie based off beatles songs. deals with tripping. ill come back and let ya know how it goes

Re: Favorite Acid/Tripping Movie

Fear and loathing hands down. Also it's insane that by the 5th time you watch it stoned, you start to realize, IT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE. The story line actually makes sense, I thought it was random when I watched it sober twice...lol it's crazy man

Requiem for a dream or natural born killers. Theres also this really awesome japanese movie, and the whole movie is just beautiful scenery from all over and has this great orchestra score. Can't remember what it's called though the name was weird lol

my father is a philosophy prof., and was friends with the director. he once introduced me to prof. solomon at some conference in berkely. this is so bizarre, i thought no one else had heard of it. small world.
