Re: Paranormal Activity anyone?

thanks for the opinions guyss

I think anticipating the escalation of shit happening each night is really the reason why the movie is scary...so much tension watching them sleep hahaa

So it's The Blair Witch Project... In a house...

Sounds so lame!

Thanks for tellin me. Definitely not wasting my money now. Only way that'll even come close to being scary is if I'm trippin on an insane amount of drugs.

Pretty decent. It's not really that scary. It has some good moments, though.

And Cottons, if you really want to see the Fourth Kind, you can just download it. DVDRips are already up, movie hasn't even hit theaters yet.
I'm not all down with the piracy scene.

Plus... Theatre = Win for movies like this. They're just not the same on a tiny ass computer screen.

Haha yeah man... I'd much rather watch a movie that's actually based on reality, than one that's just made with shitty equipment so it appears to be real.

I love horror movies, but I've never actually been scared by any of them, they usually are just hilariously awesome to me.

I don't know if this one will be any different, but I'm excited to find out!
I'm the same way.

My parents raised me on horror movies (Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St., Poltergeist, IT, etc.). Been watching 'em since I can remember. My dad used to wait for the uber scary parts of the movie, and think of ways to scare the livin shit outta my sisters and I. If we were watchin any of the Nightmare on Elm St. movies, he'd rubber band steak knives to his fingers, and come runnin outta the kitchen screaming... A couple times he said he'd have Freddy come get me in my sleep if I didn't behave, lmao.

Sounds kinda fucked up, but it helped me not be scared of shit like that. I got quite a kick outta it after not too long.

Re: Paranormal Activity anyone?

This movie fuckin sucks. All the hype around this movie is ridiculous.

It's Blair Witch, in a damn house. Oooooh, SCAAAARY!

Most of the time you're just hearing noises. You don't ever see shit. I just feel they could have done ALOT more with this movie. They set it up very well. But it just never really took off.

Gotta give it a 1.5 out of 5.

Re: Paranormal Activity anyone?

I thought it was alright if your judging every horror movie on if its scary or not your missing out on the plot/character development/story development/general artistic direction etc that's why I hate when people say a horror movie sucked cause it wasn't "scary" but I'm a horror movie fiend so shit like that just grinds my gears

The point of a horror movie is to be scared or grossed out. What the fuck is a horror movie without any HORROR!?! I'll tell you.....it's a really really bad drama. I said they built a decent story in Paranormal Activity. It just never got to the point that it creeped you out at all.

All in all....thumbs down.

Re: Paranormal Activity anyone?

Ive watched this movie on my computer and at the theaters.
At the theaters is a whole different ball game, sooo much better at the theaters.
If you havent seen this and want to see it, DO NOT WATCH IT ONLINE, go spend $10 or whatever....its one of those movies you have to watch on a big screen.
